My initial interaction with Caleb Merritt of Merritt Properties was positive. I was transparent from the start, explaining I had multiple business partners and would need one to sign. Caleb assured me, verbatim: "As long as someone is on the hook for the lease that’s all we care about. If your credit comes below the threshold, you would just have to pay a higher deposit." We proceeded in good faith. A partner applied with a score within 50 points of the requirement, expecting to pay the higher deposit as agreed. However, the process went rogue.
