We purchased a new build home in June 2020 from NVP in Dumfries, VA. We had actually previously looked in this community, but the timing for us wasn’t right at that point. Fast forward 18 months, towards the beginning of COVID, we drove through the neighborhood on a whim one day and noticed they had a new build home ready. We decided to jump and I’m so glad we did. We closed in June as I mentioned and we were pretty impressed with the build quality, but honestly, coming from the builder who had built our previous home, anything at that point seemed better. One thing I appreciate that NVP does, at least for our community, is give you a list of all of the subcontractors who built the home. If I could give no stars I would. NVP Inc. is a small family owned business that will try to sell the moon to purchase your home. Beware. They do not cover their warranties. Structurally our home is leaning on the second level. Our backyard is a swamp due to bad grading. Our house has flooded every year since we moved in in 2010. I can’t call the insurance company because they will drop us. The drain out in our walk down stairwell was a drain cover for a shower. We finally decided to pull the grate off and found the builders contractors put concrete in the drain. We know this because the concrete has large pebbles in them. We bought our beautiful NVP home (Savannah model) in August 2021, and we are still very happy with our small castle! NVP has been great about coming back over this past year and taking care of the small items that needed attention. We just finished our 1 year walk-through, and even had an outside group help us with the inspection--nothing major was found; and NVP has been very responsive and professional about tackling everything on the list. If you want a poorly built, low quality home at inflated prices, do what I did and buy a home built by NVP.Inc. Few years in and furnace, AC and roof all went belly up, and nvp says they are out of warranty and not their problem. We have tried to contact the numbers they gave us but low and behold all but one company went under. So were SOL and jad to fund all the repairs out of pocket. We did not buy a brand new home to replace the big 3 in less than 7 years.

My settlement is this week. My experience with NVP has been exceptional. I want to thank the team for putting up with my specific requests and truly am appreciative of the hard work that completes my vision. I was looking around for a new home within a historical town in June 2020 and completed at the end of August. --- I decided to call the listing agent (Ms. Robie Lynn) for informational purposes only. She was extremely helpful. She answered all the specific concerns and then set-up an appointment for me to meet the Sales Manager at my request. I met Ms. Sharon Smith a few days later and the rest is history. First, Sharon is experienced, extremely knowledgeable, and super friendly. There was no sales pressure during the entire process. She provided meaningful advice and I can't thank her
