Northgate Manor Apartments

In general, I'd say it's a decent area, suitable for couples starting out. While there have been a few minor issues, the apartments are generally satisfactory. Originally, I planned to wait until the end of the lease to provide a positive review, but my recent holiday experience prompted me to share some concerns. Around the holidays, both our neighbors and we expect an influx of visitors from out of town. Naturally, this affects parking for everyone, and that's understandable. However, it becomes a significant problem when maintenance restricts parking for paying residents. Unlike other places, even the Northgate front office doesn't reserve parking spots. It's inconvenient for me to park in another part of the complex just because maintenance wants a closer spot to their garage. I do wa

When I first moved in, maintenance and staff was very attentive. As time went on I now have problems stacking up that have not been addressed yet. Rent goes up every year but nothing has been added to the apartment. Big dog owners don't pick up their pet poop so you will see huge dumps on the walkways. Little dog owners are friendly with each other. The kids keep breaking into the laundry facility. To pay online you have a fee. Over 50 bucks a month. The residents are friendly. Never had a problem with anyone in the whole complex. Now rent is a grand a month for the same apartment I was paying 700 for less than a decade ago. No upgrade to appliances, the water heater goes cold quick, the furnace goes out periodically in the winter, and the plumping is completely horrible. If you have water

I would love to share my expereince while renting from Northgate. My family and I moved back to Rochester in 2011. My Mother in Law and her husband were living in Northgate, they introduced us to Marcia, who was unbelievable. We needed a place to stay but also just a listening ear. She offered the ear, and we had the privilege of renting an apartment for over 5 years before purchasing our home. While, at Northgate we appreciated all the staff we met, they were so kind. We have referred my mother and sister who rented space as well, and our oldest son rented an apartment also at Northgate. I lived there for a year. there was no swimming pool available. they went up on my rent after one year. on my final inspection they dinked me for $100 for not shampooing the carpet. shouldn't that be the responsibility of the complex before moving a new tenant in?? I'm not happy about that at all. 😡
