Zach was incredible. I was so impressed with how much time Zach spent with me to show me properties, and re-show me properties to make sure I found the right place for my situation. He was more concerned that I was happy with where I landed than with just closing a deal. I'm thoroughly impressed with how much care they had for what was right for my family and took the time to make sure we found the right place. Since moving in, the company has been incredibly responsive for all questions and maintenance requests. I'm very happy with how they operate and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new home.

I applied to rent a property on Northstar and met all of the qualification criteria, but my application was denied because of one number on one line of my tax return. I have 8 years of excellent rental references, my bank account historically shows (according to their screening process) I make over 3.5x the rent, as does my income on both tax returns. Kate, who screened me, even said that it did indeed "look like I make enough". They did not request any additional documents like bank statements, P&L statements or sales statements from my business. They were not willing to go any further steps to approve my application. Also, to corroborate with another 1-star reviewer, they do switch prices. I haven’t applied but looking at some of their available rentals it seems their leasing process is shooting them in the foot. According to their rental requirements each individual applicant is required to make 3x the rent (ex. If there are 2 applicants 6x the rent for the total household income required)? I see a listing that has been listed for 122 days. I then went to look at the reviews before submitting an application and from what I can see of them publicly defaming a past applicant (when the applicants review in all honesty was just being transparent of their experience) I ultimately am choosing to not move forward even though the available portfolio of rentals are very nice. Just some things I’ve noticed as a person searching the market.

If you are an owner intending to rent your property with this company, I have one recommendation: DON'T. This company is not reliable. We rented our home through them and did not have a good experience. After we had signed a lease agreement with our tenants, North Star changed the terms of the lease agreement without our knowledge or signature and returned part of the deposit money to the tenants. We only discovered the "addendum" signed by the tenants and North Star (but not us) after the tenants moved out. When the tenants moved out there was significant damage to the property and they owed money. The tenants disputed the amount they owed and it took quite some time for the issue to be resolved.
