This management company is TERRIBLE!!! I had been trying to get an apartment at Bennett Village since May. They kept coming back, but I didn’t make enough income, so I immediately got another job. Then they needed letters from my employer I got those. Then I got a section 8 voucher. Here it is October and they said they need to paint the unit. I handed over my RFT for them to fill out and send back to WHA. They lie and say that the unit is being painted, and that the RFP has been completed sent in. Meanwhile, I’m living at a domestic violence shelter. Trying to get my children back. The only barrier is housing and these people just don’t care. Lived at their Trenton apartments for a very brief time due to mold issues and the Property manager stalking and harassing me. The property manager would come look at my windows at one 2 o’clock in the morning and sit outside my apartment. There’s a list of things that I could go on and on about but what topped it off me was being held hostage and the property manager’s office for 45 minutes (which i have audio recording of). Would not recommend!!!

I’m a current tenant at Estrella Landing. It’s a beautiful community in a nice area, and the maintenance staff is awesome — no issues there at all. But the management experience has been exhausting, especially considering the property has only been open for a year. I’ve already been through two eviction filings, including one filed while the first was still active. The second case was dismissed with prejudice in March, and the first was finally closed in May 2025 after months of inflated demands. The stress and paper trail issues continue. All payment disputes were handled through the courts. If you're thinking of moving here, keep every document, double-check your ledgers, and don’t be fooled by the smiles — they tend to fade when control is questioned.

I was promised for over a month that this place would help me and that there was no way I wouldn't be able to get my kids and I into an apartment at Estrella landing.... Bennet village never answers the phone and told me they could get me into one of the 5 3 bedroom apartments they had left but failed to answer emails. I've complained to corporate about Kayla and Carolyn Parker and I do not appreciate being lied to nor feeling like it's a problem for people to actually do their job by simply checking a voicemail or responding to an email.

Wilmington, NC complex is horrible. Don’t move here. I have lived here for almost 5 years. The management is rude, bitter, and consistently trying to enter the apartments unannounced. I have seen so many visitors have their cars towed that I didn’t invite people over. Coming into your apartment you are looking for things to have been moved or maintenance has been in to “repair” or “replace” things without telling you. They have been accusatory without having proof. I have had my comings and goings monitored and visitors were followed. Not mention that the construction of the units and maintenance has been so haphazard that I have had plaster from my ceiling crack and fall because of a roof leak and a badly sealed toilet.
