This appraisal company is terrible! I would give negative stars if possible Here are some of the crazy things this appraiser told me in just a few of the direct quotes from email correspondences: “Our position that you’re viewing as negative is that the buildings are essentially shells.” With mostly finished drywall and interior painted, electric, heating, air conditioning, central HVAC, sprinkler system, lighting fixtures, etc.; are we working on finishes or on shells of two buildings? “This is an unusual property in a location that has not proven profitable to previous owners. When appraising market value, one must consider demand. It is our opinion that there is limited demand for [high quality commercial buildings in this location.]” <— (remember this for later, that they are refe

Disappointing service. Mr. King spoke to my husband in a very condescending tone. Stated “They finally got a good appraisal” when questioned about current market values and our dissatisfaction with his work. Compared to properties not in our area/county. Overall would not recommend, and a total waste of money.

Dave King appraised our farm this year (2024). He arrived late to the appointment with no apology. Very poor communication skills and hard to reach. The appraisal had many errors in it and he was very out of touch with the current market. DO NOT USE!

I would not recommend this company. We were told 5-6 weeks for a completed appraisal and didn’t receive it until 90+ days later after threatening contacting the better business bureau. I understand 2020 was rough for many companies but there is no excuse to cause a 60 day delay. The company was unresponsive for almost a week at a time to emails and phone calls. The value also came in immensely lower than that of another appraiser who has expertise in this type of project. Not satisfied with the project or the team/staff.

Used an unrealistic cap rate to value commercial property. Did not take into account rent increases. When asked to review the appraisal, the value was increased by $35k with no additional analysis. Initial appraisal came in lower than a 2017 valuation after additional tenants, major capital renovations (new mechanicals, new roof, office suite renovation) Killed a mutually beneficial deal to the bank and myself while delaying the closing due to being unresponsive. Waste of $1800. Seeking another opinion from a competent appraiser.
