Nicholson Tower

I was at the facility for bladder surgery, this was the first time that I stayed overnight. The entire staff from the red jackets that helped me to know where to go all the way through the transport person that wheeled me back to the car. Each and everyone was fantastic! Helpful, supportive, empathetic, and professional. Doctors, surgeon, nurses, techs, and administrators. WOW, the experience couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much for the care that was given to me.

I have had heart surgeries at OU Med Center 3 times now and I’ve always been treated exceptionally well. The tower is beautiful and the rooms are large and clean and the views are beautiful. But what’s fantastic is that the nurses and techs are lovely! They’re kind and caring and even funny at times and that really makes a big difference when a person is recovering. During this stay, in particular, my night nurse JM Bautista was so awesome! He was very helpful and made me feel like I was his only patient (which I knew I was not) and he explained things to me so that I’d understand and never made me feel like a bother. He is a fantastic nurse! Seriously, all the nurses and techs are amazing! My doctor, Dr. Po and his entire team are absolutely a godsend. Dr. Po - thank you do all you do!!

I can't say enough good things about OU Medical center. Especially the CVICU. But from the time I arrived at the front desk,to getting prepped for surgery. And the recovery time,it was ALL so great. The people there truly care about helping you in their best capacity possible. You guys keep up the good work. And thank you from the bottom of my repaired heart. So grateful 🙏 for you guys. Ya'll have truly saved my life. And I couldn't be any happier with the service.

Upon arrival via EMSA, I was cared for in a professional, respectful way. Nurse Drake, Dr. Schwartz, and admitting were great. This began to go south as time passed. It ended the next evening with confusion, chaos, and lack of consistency; causing me undo stress. In the ER for over 24 hours with the understanding that I was being admitted. Towards the end of that time, I was told I'd be discharged after a few more tests & procedures. After the last two procedures, transport came to get me explaining they were taking me to my room. I explained that I was being discharged. Transport had to follow their instructions and took me to 8135 .my daughter was there waiting for me, but had not been given any information as to why the discharge had changed. In hospital stay was so nice. Cindy took care of my mom like she was her own. ER admitting was lacking compassion and the connection to the importance of patient-advocate necessity. The team in ER ,especially Colby and crew ,were fantastic. The PA that took care of her was amazing with listening and explaining. We are glad the admitting doctor reviewed her current med list and helped us revisit the medications. The attention and clear explanation of what was going on and what needed to happen, is what every ER/ medical facility should strive for. We are forever grateful to you all.
