New City Management

This company is the worrrrrrsssttt. My partner and I moved there in February 2021, and moved out November 30th 2025. We've had countless issues with the unit/building to name a few mice, roach,leaks from above units, damaging walls from constant leaks, mold and worst of all we were out of of gas starting June 18th 2025 and it still wasn't repaired by the time we left. We got fed up and left because not only that the whole building didn't have gas the management company could care less and we have a toddler who kept getting sick. During winter some days the heater wouldn't work and sometimes there is no hot water and yet they expect the residents to pay their rent on time. I have lived in buildings managed by New City since 2013 (two different addresses uptown). The buildings are well kept and the management has always been polite and helpful to me. The supers are very nice and prompt if any issue comes up. One episode, years ago my friend smelled gas which turned out to be a stove problem, they immediately gave me a new stove. Things do happen in these older buildings! I am glad to have this management company, I really appreciate the good treatment. Also, they now use Rent Café for payments and leasing which makes things easier.

If I could give zero stars, I would. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL We lived at 511 W 135th St and spent nearly two years dealing with recurring leaks that were never properly resolved. Communication was often unresponsive, and the quality of repairs was consistently substandard. We eventually had to take the matter to small claims court. This was one of the most frustrating rentals we’ve had in NYC.We wish we never leased from them.

For New York city the apartments are fairly priced, never had an issue contacting the management office if I needed anything as long as you pay your rent you will have no problems

They are unprofessional and don’t communicate with their tenants. The property manager doesn’t even live in New York and hardly knows anything about the building or any of the shitty units.
