Chastity Morgan, Mountain Area Nest Realty, selling agent. Walk through was delayed because the selling agent did not provide an accurate state of the home. We arrived for our walk through and the residents’ personal items were still in the home. It was as if they had only left for appointments. Full refrigerator, personal documents, and not anything close to what the contract says for “broom swept clean” appearance. We travelled three hours to close on our property and were expecting to spend the first night there with our adult children and their families travelling from various locations. Our first agent was Erin. She did not do her job and she told us several things about the home we purchased that turned out to be false. She never bothered to make sure we had the title or anything, neither did the law firm. We expressed how upset we were and she didn't even care. Do not buy a home sight unseen from them. Being 5 hours away and with homes selling fast, we made the mistake of counting on Erin. We had to resell the home after fixing it up and we broke even. Jackie from Nest is good, but I don't trust anyone else there. And whatever you do, don't go with the law firm they often use: Summerville and Wilkerson.

Jim was exactly what we were looking for in a realtor when were looking for a home: blatantly honest, down to earth, has a wealth of knowledge about the area, and provides tailored insights/guidance based on his client’s preferences. He helped us wade through the turbulent waters of the Charlottesville housing market where even strong bids are beat by cash offers that waive everything (seriously, how are there so many people who can afford to do that?!). Worst experience ever working with this company. Buying and selling agents were both Nest realtors. We used Julie Holbrook to sell and they used Kelly Ceppa as a buying agent. If you see Kelly’s name, RUN. She’s known as a “tough negotiator” — no. She waits until the last minute to send in requests for credits, is manipulative and condescending in communication, and then bypasses communication with your realtor and goes directly to attorneys with requests for credits that have already been denied. When I contacted Keith Davis, lead broker, to discuss Kelly’s unethical behavior throughout the entire selling process, he said he would call me. He never called. I sent a lengthy emailing laying everything out in timeline fashion with Ring video footage to prove my information. No response. If i
