Mt Vernon Apartments

Not a one star, it's minus 100 stars, worst experience of my rental years! Bed bug infestation in every building! Management and owners know this issue and do nothing at all! We lost everything, didn't want to ever encounter that nightmare again. Health dept. Came out when I called them and advised that i keep records which i have of everything, called attorney pending because my granddaughters would have bites. They said they would spray and.never came. Do not move here inless its free and shelters are full. Dumpsters always full of mattresses! Awful, i lost thousands of dollars in furniture and toys. They need to be demolished and owners need to be punished and fined for allowing this horrible bug spread through community. Don't move there!!

I have lived here since October 2013. I know that with any apartment life you will have changes and some might be good and some might not be so favorable, but that is just how life can be as well in general. I have stayed here for so long for many factors. The location for the Putnam City School District for my children before and after the Pandemic alongside the availability to be near hospitals, food restaurants, car dealerships, sports fields and our home church as well!. There are many good qualities when it comes to Yorktown Apartments and its management/staff. There is an abundance of professionalism and tenant care not only from the maintenance arena, but the administrative/office management directly on the grounds. Horrible place to live. As time has gone on there have been multiple people managing this apartment complex and each time attention to tenants has gotten worse. I wouldn't recommend living here unless you're desperate. Play ground isn't great. Tennis/basketball court doesn't have any nets or even a hoop for that matter. lots of issues with maintenance.

It has a big hole by the office and there is like no way to get to pay your bill or to and from the park I will warn you not to get an apt. Here it is going downhill every few months! Black mold, bugs, and the carpet is from 1950. Smells too!

Worst place I've lived, sewer backs up a couple days a week and smell permeates the entire building, as well as being pumped into the yard behind the building. Mold and mildew everywhere, nasty carpet, broken glass around the sidewalks, trash constantly piled up around the dumpsters instead of in them. Not fit for anyone to live in.
