Mordecai On Clover Townhome Apartments

I moved here at the tail end of 2025 and it's been fantastic so far! Dwayne is really efficient with repairs and maintenance, and he always gives me updates if he can't get to something quickly. The walls are a bit thin and the insulation along the back wall needs work, but otherwise I'm happy with the place.

UPDATE: BLACK MOLD. There has been black mold growing on my dining room wall for OVER A MONTH, and the property manager has ignored multiple requests to have it removed. They have only agreed to send someone out now that I've threatened legal action (again). My apartment is also now flooding for ~10th time- this time from the kitchen sink/dishwasher! They are running a crazy scam at this spot- repairing nothing and getting as many people moved in as possible before they demolish the complex... Run for the hills!! Compelled to share, at risk of losing the dismal maintenance service that is still left. THIS COMPLEX IS BEING DEMOLISHED SOON! DO NOT MOVE HERE. The complex was rezoned for demolition 2 YEARS AGO. Horrible experience between summer 2023 and summer 2025. The management turned over 5-7 times in the 2 years we were there. In all the advertisements, they make a big deal about the amenities offered here, like the club house with the coffee bar, a little lounge area, the printer, etc., but no one is ever able to use it because the manager is never there. And when I say never, I don’t mean like there’s a 50% chance of them being there or not - I mean less than a 1% chance of them being there at all, on a week day, weekend, etc. They will not pay a dime to fix anything. We had insulation issues under our sink the entire time we lived there and they never fixed it, even though it would’ve cost about $50 total and taken 30 minutes. They only fixed things if there was an actual threat to life

Lived here for about three years now, and never have had a single complaint. Rent is reasonable, and has only increased once in our time here, but not to an outrageous amount. Maintenance is friendly and also prompt to address any/all concerns; not to mention always respectful upon entry, regarding those who choose to work from home. Star, the property manager, has been genuinely warm and wonderful from the very first email, and has repeatedly gone out of her way to make this a welcoming, comfortable pocket of living in Raleigh. There are a number of comfortable outdoor environments too: small gardening plots for those who are so inclined, grills, a small firepit, picnic tables. Location can't be beat. Bars and restaurants nearby and an easy walk downtown. Apartments aren't new, but having two stories makes them feel bigger than the listed square footage and it feels like you have a yard. Staff was attentive and some nice little perks (garden space, gas grill, outdoor games) that we took advantage of. Prices simply feel like a steal when nearby homes with less square footage go for ridiculous sums. Value for the location is unbelievable.
