Montrose Square Apartments

Sharing this so others can make an informed decision. As kind as the front office staff and maintenance workers were, this apartment complex has an ongoing mold infestation that was never properly addressed during my time living here. I first noticed mold in my second year on the bathroom ceiling and inside the living room/bedroom vent. Maintenance painted Killz over the ceiling and removed the mold from the vent. The curtains that were blamed for “causing” the mold were moved and eventually replaced. I assumed the problem was fixed. Over the next two years, I began experiencing worsening health issues (fatigue, headaches, shortness of breath, recurrent sickness) and spent hundreds of dollars on medical tests trying to understand what was happening. I'm so grateful to have found somewhere as wonderful as Montrose Square to live. I call it "the campground" because that's what it feels like here. It's quiet and peaceful, wooded and safe. I love that these apartments are all bungalow style so it really feels like living in a cabin. I live in a one bed and the interior is updated and spacious and well maintained, with in unit laundry, an attic and lots of storage. The staff here are so friendly and incredible and always willing to help in a timely manner. The pet policy, parking, communication, neighbors - everything has been easy! Everyone here, especially Michelle, has made me feel so welcome and safe from the day I moved in and I truly wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I lived here last year from 2018 - 2020, but didn't think to write a review until my poor experiences with my current apartment. This was absolutely the best apartment complex I've ever lived in. I lived in their one bedroom, but also their newer 2 bedroom unit as well. Both were absolutely fantastic. The one bedroom was obviously older, but still not many complaints other than the minor things that come with age. The 2 bedroom on Loop Court was the best though. Great layout, appliances, and having a garage and driveway was so helpful. Even better than the living conditions though, was their amazing management and staff. I moved out of my apartment in Montrose Square a month ago. It was really bittersweet. The apartment complex was super quiet and I felt safe there. The management even offered a discount if you paid early! The maintenance staff were incredible and friendly. Michelle, the manager, is knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful. Michelle and the maintenance team went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and peaceful! Highly recommended! I can’t say a negative thing about these apartments!

Hands down I believe this is the best apartment complex in Fort Wayne! I love all of the workers and you get to know the owners like they are family! Pet friendly and have been super accommodating! No complaints from me or my friends who live here!
