Monterey at Beach Boulevard

My washing machine stopped working so I placed a work order. Maintenance came right away and found that the machine needed to be replaced. I was told that it would be a few days to get a new one ordered which was no problem however by the very next day they installed a new washing machine! Talk about fast service!! We absolutely love living here at Monterey at Beach Blvd! It’s beautiful and so peaceful with great neighbors and the office ladies are so so nice and welcoming! Thank you ladies for everything you do!

First off I want to say that the office staff is very friendly and the maintenance man CJ is amazing. The reason I'm giving it one star is because I moved across the country and rented these apartments unseen based on the reviews I had a ground floor apartment and I was seeing about four cockroaches a day. I was told these are the palmetto bugs that typically live outside, but I moved during rainy season So they would come in. I also started seeing baby ones which indicates infestation. I called an exterminator To come out because I missed the opportunity to have my apartment sprayed. Maintenance fixed a seal that was broken on my front door and I didn't see as many after my apartment was sprayed. In the week that I lived there, I saw approximately 22 cockroaches in my apartment. I wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience living at Monterey since moving in at the end of 2020. The past few years have truly been the best! Alyssalyn and Erin are incredibly helpful and make all the residents feel comfortable and safe under their management. They also organize fantastic events for us, from Valentine's Day flower bouquet making in the Clubhouse to a lively Saint Paddy’s Day gathering, which really helps the neighborhood connect. Our furry friends are not forgotten either, as they even arrange grooming events for them. Furthermore, the maintenance service here is the quickest I've ever encountered. CJ is always kind, greets everyone with a big smile, and has often helped me with my trash. It's also great to see the maintenance team consistently working outs

Not thrilled about this place , they have emergency water shut offs once or twice a week. It’s been going on for months no idea what’s going on but for the price you pay doesn’t seem like that’s a good thing. The rent is pretty high and the buildings are pretty old. They did a lot of upgrades over the past year but appliances are very old and are constantly breaking. They charge everyone $50 a month to rent a washer and dryer when all other apartments near have that included in rent . Trash piles up outside though that’s been a little bit better lately Management very nice that I think they have to answer to corporate. Not sure how they are about keeping tenants. I’ve only been here about a year so we’ll see what happens. I just think you might have better options.

Almost didn’t write this because I thought maybe this many roaches were just normal in Florida…My husband and I moved across the country for his work and were extremely hopeful about this place. But sadly we were so so dissapointed. Our unit was dirty upon move in with dead roaches, dust, food residue, moldy water dispenser in our fridge etc. We lived in unit 304. We were planning on toughing it out until the roaches just kept coming. My mother who moved with us but into a different unit had SO MANY ROACHES. I even asked nearby tenants who also said the same thing. I thought this was just common for Florida, we all ended up having to break our leases due to the unlivable conditions, now that I have lived in the deerwood neighborhood for sometime now and have not yet seen a single roach… RU
