I am a current resident. Overall the staff and amenities are great. However, the fire alarms have been going off at least once a week for 1-3hrs for the past two months. The fire department comes each time, and tenants have not been evacuating due to the frequency of these false alarms. These alarms are usually at night and are incredibly disruptive to sleep. Management sends an apology email but has been unable to resolve these alarms tripping or have been able to shut them off quickly when the do go off.
I’ve been touring multiple places over the last seven days, and Britain Goddard easily stood out above everyone else. The community itself is amazing, but Britain’s level of service, attention to detail, and genuine friendliness were on a completely different level. Her tour was exceptional professional, welcoming, and incredibly informative and she made the entire experience feel effortless. Honestly, I would choose to live here because of her alone. Britain absolutely deserves a raise or a promotion; talent and dedication like hers are rare, and she made this one of the best leasing experiences I’ve ever had. I’ll be making my final decision next week, but she’s a major reason this place is at the top of my list.
I lived here for 2 years. First off, the unit I was shown versus the one I actually moved into were completely different. The unit I got had much older appliances and fixtures. If I had seen it beforehand, I never would’ve signed the lease. When I moved in, the washer and heat didn’t work and took multiple visits to fix. On top of that, several smoke detectors were faulty, and I ended up having to replace them myself. The hallways and loft areas are poorly maintained. After the building-wide painting, they didn’t even bother to paint the entryway from the garage to the lofts. Most of the fans in that hallway are broken, and the lights barely work. For what they charge in rent, you’d expect basic upkeep—but that’s definitely not the case here. Then there are the ridiculous fees. $30 a mon
Great location and strong amenities, but ownership clearly does not prioritize upkeep or resident experience. FOR OVER A MONTH, THE FIRE ALARM HAS GONE OFF MULTIPLE TIMES PER WEEK BETWEEN 8:00PM AND 2:00AM AND IT STAYS ON FOR HOURS BEFORE SHUTTING OFF. This has been an ongoing issue, not a one time occurrence. Beyond being disruptive, this has become a serious safety concern. Because it happens so frequently, many residents no longer bother leaving their units when the alarm goes off. That is a dangerous situation. If there were ever a real emergency, people may ignore it due to alarm fatigue. I cannot speak for every unit, but if you are considering one with windows facing the interior of the building, I would strongly reconsider. When the alarm goes off, the lights flash continuously,
I don’t rent here yet or know if I will since I’m just getting started on the apartment hunt, but Colleen in the leasing office was wonderful. She was super sweet and knowledgeable about the Mondrian and made me feel confident about my options and the choice I would be making if I choose this place as my future home. She said this is the Mondrian’s 20th year open and that some tenants have been here since day one. Huge green flag! On my tour, we even ran into a tenant who said she had been at the Mondrian since 2017 or 2018. The amenities are really nice and the location is great. I also want to mention the lady working at the front desk who checked me in for my tour. She was extremely kind and welcoming. I wish I had gotten her name so I could shout her out. She was there around 11:50am
