Monarch Luxury Studio Apartments

This is easily the biggest scam in real estate in Tallahassee, Florida. I moved there in March of 2024 with my German Shepherd and my son’s Pitt. One five years old and the other six. The property manager knew about both of the dogs. My son moved to the property in April of 2024. They had plans to renovate the extended stay motel into studio apartments. My son signed a lease and I had a verbal agreement with the property manager that when the studio apartments were available, I would move into my own apartment and sign a lease. Everyone was told that they would be ready by the end of January at the very latest! On into February, none of the units were anywhere near ready. This wasn't a Great experience. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because the customer service was phenomenal. There isn't enough staff to run this property. Our room wasn't clean when we arrived. I asked the front desk to let housekeeping know my floor needed to be mopped due to the prior guest having an animal. The hair looked to belong to a dog , not only that it smelled like it.. We never got the floor mopped and we stayed 5 nights total. I called the front desk and asked what was I doing wrong with the communicaton, since I had to call days in a row. Ended up buying a swiffer to mop the floor. We bought bleach to pour down the sink for the sink flys (nets) that was flying around. This place is disappointing disgusting mess. I rented a studio room with a king bed online. Once I arrived at the hotel I was told they did not have any king beds and gave me a room with 2 double beds. When I got to the back side of the hotel I couldn’t believe the amount of riffraff walking around the hotel. I walked into the room and was shocked. The bathroom floor wash covered in hair along with the tub. The light switch covers had black fingerprints on them. The tissue box holder looked as if it had never been wiped down and the backside of the entry door was completed black at the bottom and you could see shoe print marks on it also. I immediately went to the office and requested a new room. Believe it or not the 2nd room was even worse than the first but it reeked of hot garbage. Toi

I was shocked at how disgusting this place was, The webpage and images make it look like a nice place but it is not. it looks like the bulk of the building is used for maybe hud housing as it seems like alot of the people loitering outside with their chairs live there full time, The group of 20 or so people just hanging outside till 4am talking and drinking and smoking weed seemed to feel like this was normal so I tried to ignore them the best I could but it was miserable. The room was nasty, the bed had blood stains on the sheets ( smaller one but definately blood ) almost every inch of the room had splatter of some kind on it, like someone shook up a bottle and let it spray all over the walls and let it dry and it wass all different types of colors, some clear some white some brown. We were just passing through and stopped and got a room for the night. Considering how cheap the rooms were, we weren't expecting much, however it surpassed all our expectations. The room as clean and cool, the shower and toilet were clean. The ac and fridge worked great. Breakfast was kind of a bust. When we got down there there wasn't any food out, i would definitely say they need a bigger breakfast area considering how many people the hotel can accommodate. I would definitely stay here again!!
