When you undertake building a custom home, it's usually to fulfill a life long dream. You hope that with something so significant, you have confidence and trust in the people who will help you achieve this goal. It would be impossible to have a better experience with this than we had with Monarch. Starting from the very beginning, Shawn and her ENTIRE team of people, right down to all the contractors were exceptional. They were patient, guiding without being forceful, supportive, and most importantly - they LISTENED to us. And the workmanship, with every trade, was beyond belief. I have been in many custom homes over the years and have never seen pride in workmanship like I saw from all these people. We hired Monarch to build our dream home and shop that was designed by Selkirk Design (Matt Cudmore) upon my direct input on a 1/2 acre lot that we purchased the year before. Monarch prepared all the bids during the time when lumber costs started to decline, then Covid hit as well making things very complicated at first. Even though times were very challenging, they managed to get the project started by getting all of the permits, and overall it took them one year from breaking ground to delivery, under the close supervision of Eric during the initial steps, foundations, framing, roofing, exterior and interior finish. Then Scott managed all the rest, from flooring, bathroom finishes, painting, cabinet, appliances, lighting installation. The office staff was also extremely supporting, with

Monarch built a masterpiece in 2021 for my wife and I. We couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship of our forever home. We truly believe this is one of the nicest houses ever built in the Hayden area. The process was made easy by the exceptional office customer service, as well as being able to work directly with the owner. Eric, who managed our project had amazing ideas that we implemented throughout the design and building process. I highly recommend Monarch to anyone looking for, in our opinion, the best quality & high-end builder in the North Idaho area.
