Would rate 0 stars if possible. Went to help move my little sister in before classes started and her key card didn’t work and after waiting for over an hour they finally got maintenance to open it with a physical key. When we walked in the apartment was TRASHED. Food left out, old clothes, mold on the vents, trash everywhere. Instead of helping come up with a solution, all of the staff left us in the room alone and we had to track them down back at the main office where they tried to call the cops on US for not wanting to leave my little sister alone in a trashed apartment with no working key and then the TAMUCC housing department moved her into a different apartment complex. TERRIBLE management, unhelpful, and rude. I’m a TAMUCC alumni and honestly this experience made me feel ashamed to
this place is already overpriced as it is . As everyone says cheap everything , mold it’s all there . The dishwasher has mold and stinks so bad matience didn’t see a “problem” with it . On top of that the ac went out 4 days ago it has been 84 since then and no one has came to even look even after countless calls to housing , matience any housing number we could find nothing . The heat and humidity is bad to the point where the bathroom ceilings are starting to leak and things are molding even more and It’s only been 2 weeks here.. save yourself and your money and go live off campus
Multiple occasions the momentum maintenance park in the handicap when I told one of the workers she was extremely rude about it and questioned if I even needed to park there. They tried to get my service animal removed because they “lost” the paperwork all of there appliances break in the apartment, water leaking from the ceiling, I was left days without AC or a shower because the shower handle fell off I called to get someone to fix it but no one. Terrible place to live ur better off with a regular apartment or maybe Miramar.
PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE I am beyond furious with the way Momentum Village Housing operates. This place is the definition of irresponsibility and mismanagement. They REFUSE to take accountability for their constant stream of mistakes, and somehow manage to make every situation worse with their total lack of professionalism. Their communication with student residents is pathetic. Emails are either ignored completely or answered with vague, unhelpful responses that solve absolutely nothing. Especially when you call them, if you're lucky enough to get an answer, they will tell you to "Email Islander Housing." It’s like they’re actively trying to avoid helping the people who LIVE HERE and pay to stay under their roof. I’ve had repeated issues with maintenance staf
TL;DR: it's not really "on campus", they're likely to charge you more money than you agreed to, and maintenance will come to/into your unit without warning. Most other things are good/fine. First thing you should know, in case you couldn't tell from Maps, is that this is not a true "on campus" housing option. It's only "on campus" in so far as it's owned by the school and not a third-party. While extremely short, you do have to actually commute from here, whether by car or bus (don't get me started on biking via the "bike lanes"). You can't realistically just walk to class like you could if you lived at Mirimar. More importantly, there have been multiple financial "mistakes" over the last two academic years made by housing, including charging me more than the amount on my contract and do
