Would not recommend the down payment assistance program. The point of the down payment assistance program is for those who don’t have the down payment for a home upfront. While under contract our loan officer lets us know the last day(at 4pm) the earnest money is refundable that we need 9k in our bank account by the next day to be able to close on the house. Had we known from the beginning 9,000 was needed to close we would have never went under contract. Very unprofessional and misleading!
