Modera Medford

I had an excellent experience with Modera Medford and couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone so far. The property is very clean, beautifully maintained, and overall extremely nice. The common areas are well cared for, everyone I’ve encountered has seemed friendly and welcoming, and I really like the amenities offered — they truly add to the overall appeal of the community. Monica was outstanding throughout the process. She was professional, warm, and incredibly informative. She took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and made sure I understood everything about the building, the units, and the amenities. I recently toured this apartment building and had such a great experience, largely thanks to Monica, the Assistant Property Manager. She gave an amazing tour and immediately made me feel welcome. Monica was warm, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about the residents—we even passed a few people during the tour, and she greeted them by name and took the time to check in with them, which says a lot about the kind of community she helps create. I have lived at Modera Medford since 2019 and have rented three different units over the years, which probably says everything on its own. We moved out in 2020 but missed the community so much that we chose to come back. It truly feels like home here. The property is well maintained, the location is excellent, and there is a real sense of community that you do not find in many apartment buildings. What truly sets Modera Medford apart, though, is the leasing and management team. Monica is exceptional. I have been a resident here for over 5 years and I love my actual apartment and the maintenance team has been great to me. I am leaving one star because of my consistent experience with the leasing office — in particular, Monica Bernal Velasquez, Assistant Property Manager. The concerns around Monica have gone unresolved for far too long. Her interactions with me are consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. As a resident, I shouldn’t have to think twice before approaching the office, yet I often do because I leave feeling worse after our interactions. I’ve repeatedly experienced eye-rolling, lack of acknowledgment, she doesn’t even look up or greet me when I approach the leasing office with a question and overall dismissive behavior. My fiancé and I have been living here since 2023 and are more appreciative of the staff each year. Both maintenence and the property managers have been able to resolve any issues that arise in the most expeditious manner. They truly care about the residents wellbeing and make every effort to make us feel safe and comfortable. Shoutout to Ariff for handling the most recent emergency of a pipe bursting with the utmost importance.
