Miraido Village Apartments

Good apartments central Japan town. We lived here for 4 years and enjoyed it! The facilities are regularly maintained and overall generally pretty clean. Admin for the building is very attentive and responsive. They do a good job and are easy to communicate with. The neighborhood and community is friendly, respectful, and safe. I would recommend Miraido village to anyone looking for a good all inclusive starter apartment. Pros Walkable area closed to VTA Pet friendly Good community Safe indoor mail Family owned and operated Cons Train is right behind and comes by every hour so it gets loud Ants and bugs in the summer time sometimes get in the apt Only 1 gated car parking per unit Sometimes the outer parking gets petty theft car break ins (so park at your own risk)

Miraido feels its ok to be a blight on its surrounding neighbors. We have spoke to them on multiple occasions regarding the rats/mice that live in the piles of their fig waste as well as the garbage collecting on the outskirts of their property. Our HOA must continue to pay for the garbage and leaves that blow onto our side of the street/property. The City of San Jose code enforcement has notified them on multiple occasions but nothing has been done. We are now forced to escalate the situation when we just want it cleaned up. The sad thing is, citizens walk streets every morning cleaning trash and such only to have Miraido not do their part is just sad.

Really like living here. The location is perfect. Only problem is I constantly crave sushi because the smells of Okayama are constantly floating across the street. The management team and maintenance guys take care of every issue in a timely manner, and go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. Being surrounded by luxury apartment communities this feels like just about the only affordable place to live in the area. The layout of the apartment is ok, the train is loud if you're a light sleeper, and it gets very warm during the summer, but otherwise, top notch place to live.

Lived here for 2 years. Great location right at the center of SJ japan town. There was a management change in 2017 and noticed that the service level was not up to par. At one point it was one of the more reasonable priced places to live in SJ but not anymore :(

Nice modern apartment complex. Conveniently located on the edge of San Jose's Japantown. Gated parking for one car per unit. Additional will have to park on the street, many of which are metered during working hours.
