DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Lowell Apartments or any owned by this “company”. THIS BUILDING IS A SCAM!!! Don’t let the nice location and old charm sway you. They WILL take all your money, sanity, and belongings and make you feel crazy for wanting a clean and safe apartment. It would be your worst decision to move here. PLEASE TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!!! I am only giving 1 star because I have to and because the location and old charm are nice. However I was staying here for barely a month when I got BED BUGS!!! I have been going back and forth with them for months on that issue and other hot water and cleaning issues but gotten nowhere and now have to move out. This is one of the worst property "management" companies that exists in this city, this county, and this state. The elevator in the building broke down (something that has happened 3 times in a span of 6 months) so I had to use the stairwell, which has been caked in human feces for days. When I tried to get back into the building, the only way upstairs is through the poop-covered stairwell, but the doorknob would no longer accept my key and I couldn't get upstairs to my apartment door. I tried calling the property manager. Straight to voicemail with a full mailbox, so I couldn't leave a message. I tried calling the company. I am filing this complaint regarding the failure of Metropolitan Management to properly refund my security deposit after I vacated the rental property. I moved out on 10/01/2024, and according to our rental agreement, the security deposit of $946.75 was to be returned after move-out. I received a check for $946.75 dated on 1 month after move-out, great. However, when I attempted to deposit the check, my bank informed me that the check had insufficient funds and or had been closed and bounced. Since this incident, I have made multiple attempts to contact Metropolitan Management Company by phone and email to resolve the matter. Ray Russo - if you are reading this. Breanne the property manager at Lohas apartments in the U district is totally incompetent. The breezeways at the building are perpetually filthy. The incompetent landscapers blow the debris into the breezeways and don’t spend five minutes to sweep it up. Please do something about it - Breanne doesn’t care.

They will take unauthorized amounts from your bank account and not fix it. Extremely shady. Never have more than exactly rent in the account you give them.
