Member First Mortgage

Issues with what is now our old mortgage company. They wanted ridiculous stuff even with us being with them for two years. Then I talked to Member First Mortgage. Sent over my info and Jim Rogers and his team got right to work. Closed last Friday after just a few weeks. ( also over the Christmas and New Year's Holiday. ) Great rate!! Condensed three previous personal loans, paid for 35 new windows. Mortgage went up 245.00 and saved 1250 a month in loans paid off. Not to mention new windows. A real win in my book! Everyone was great to work with. Paige Love was our person pulling paperwork together. She really knows her stuff and keep me in the loop, start to finish. Alex helped us close and even meet us at a local restaurant to make it convenient for us!

Did my home loan with Workers CU because i wanted a mortgage from someone who was going to portfolio the loan (i.e. keep it, so i could deal with them for payments, issues, etc.). Which was great right up until they turned over my mortgage to Member First, which is a servicing company owned by WCU and other credit uinons. now I have to deal with annual "send us proof of insurance...no not that paperwork...it doesn't count, the verbiage on what you sent isn't quite right" along with the ubiquitous "this is the last time we are going to ask you to get it right before we take out our own insurance and charge you for it". So while Members First is no good, the 2 stars applies equally to WCU.

Caity and Jim did a good job, and Public Service CU rocks! Smooth, efficient process explained just enough and very clearly just as I needed help. Very very fast response time and great with forwarding paperwork as needed as well. Smooth and positive closing! Thanks guys!

PETER KELLY MORTGAGE CONSULTANT NMLS ID# 458992 made this experience one like I have never experienced before! A loan officer who is simply not available and super avoidant, and seemingly highly inexperienced. My buyer and I thought we were working with AI and called the company to inspect our suspicions only to be told this person does not work for the company. Then, have someone reached out stating that they are Peter Kelly and would like to know who denied his employment, rather than answer questions about the buyer's loan status. If I could give -99 stars I would. My buyer switched from financing to cash in order to avoid another shady experience.

I worked with zach carlson to close on a house and we closed in under 30 days and there were no delays, plus he got me an awesome rate! I had seen some of the so-so reviews and spoke with him about it, but he reassured me that they simply deal with a large volume across multiple institutions and all that comes with that, and i went with them. There were some communication issues between individuals as things progressed, and i did need to stay on top of the documents, but i was even able to travel during the window and everything still went well. I am highly satisfied so far and would recommend working with zach if you have a fairly straightforward loan application and want to close quickly! Thanks, zach!
