Meadowlark Hill Apartments

I moved into the apartment six months ago and have always had a clean record with the complex. Throughout my time living there, I reported several maintenance issues to the property manager, Estelle. She rarely responded to my emails, so I constantly had to go in person and speak to her assistant because she was never available. In September, I discovered a serious bedbug problem. When I reported it, Estelle immediately blamed me and said, “Our complex has never had bedbugs. This is your fault for bringing them in,” and informed me I would be charged $600 for treatment. I later learned that multiple previous tenants had complained about the same issue. Maintenance fixed some things and said he'd be back to fix the rest after lunch...never showed back up. Washer and dryer stopped working. I called the office and was told by both office workers that I was supposed to call the company to come fix it because they arent meadowlark machines. Walls are very thin. You can hear neighbors in all directions. Some days I feel like im going crazy from all the noise during the day and at night. Went in to apply but the lady in the office is horrible. She's rude & condescending. Didn't want to have to deal with her on a regular basis so we decided not to apply. She seems like she can cause problems. No way.

Call to inquire about applying. I have 4 kids that are only with me every other weekend. I've confirmed with the judge in my custody case that my 4 kids can be in the same room since they're all girls. They insist that I have to have a 3 bedroom and refuse to allow me to apply for a 2 bedroom. I explained to them multiple times that it's not a law that I can have a 2 bedroom with the 4 kids. They still refused to allow me to apply for a 2 bedroom.
