Meadowbrook Gardens

This is my third year living at Meadowbrook Gardens and I have really enjoyed it! I am currently a master’s student at UConn. Angeles, the property manager, is exceptional. She goes above and beyond! For example, I had a maintenance issue and she stayed after hours to make sure it was addressed so I could feel more comfortable. She also matches roommates very well. I chose to live with my friend for my first two years at Meadowbrook Gardens and when she graduated this past May, she did not need housing near UConn anymore. I still needed housing since I was going back for my master’s. If I am being honest, this past summer, I was worried that the person who was going to fill the vacant spot was going to be a “nightmare roommate”. Not quick on showing up for maintenance and to frequent either their posts. No cable which is written in the lease as included either rent.

I want to share my full experience again because my original review received a response claiming they couldn’t find me in their system. I lived at Meadowbrook Garden for roughly three years, and while my time living there was mostly fine, the way they handled my move-out was one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had. When I moved out, they kept almost three-quarters of my security deposit close to $1,000 , those over charges that were completely unreasonable. The biggest items they listed were that I left a curtain hanging and that I supposedly “damaged” a wall. The wall in question only needed a standard coat of paint, something that should fall under normal wear and tear after several years of living there. I lived here for 3 years, and this is a decent place to live. Shuttles are convenient, environment is excellent, the property management team is awesome. Best in the neighborhood.

A fantastic place to live and to work. As a UConn student, living at Meadowbrook was everything I was hoping for when I moved off campus. It felt so nice having my own bedroom and bathroom. The atmosphere and the management are great and I highly encourage other students to check it out! Also, Anna was such a helpful outreach marketing consultant and really improved my experience!
