Meadowbrook Apartments

I could write a whole book on why NOT to rent here. Before moving in, we specifically asked for the carpets to be cleaned since the previous renters had 2 big dogs & didn’t care for the carpet. The carpet was wet but NOT CLEAN, I ended up using my own carpet cleaner and the water was dark & smelly. It took over 10 runs to get it semi clean. Moving in was disgusting, it wasn’t cleaned at all. Toilets were dirty, shower had mold, water damage under sink causing more mold, non working washing machine, etc. Nearly all pantry / closet doors are broken. Steve Brown apartments also gives false advertisement with no care for their tenants, after almost a year of living here they still haven’t come changed or repaired any damages from the previous renters. The carpets in our apartment still had some cat hair on it from the previous tenant’s stay. I called and spoke to Meadowbrook staff member, Reggie, who apologized profusely and promised to have the issue resolved by the end of the following day. Instead of the following day, however, a professional cleaning service was at our apartment within a matter of hours of my initial phone call and had the carpets like new. We couldn’t be more pleased and impressed with our Meadowbrook experience and are especially impressed with the staff’s commitment to making us feel at home.

Our dog gets scared and anxious when new people come around which has always been a problem living in apartments. I leak in our apartment caused the maintenance technician, Bob, to have to enter our apartment when we were not home. I was nervous about our dog, but Bob was generous enough to throw a toy for him and give him water so he would feel more comfortable. This was above and beyond his job description and we could not be more thankful for the care that he gave to our family pet.

Erik the maintenance technician is amazing! He is super friendly and accommodating. He is nice to our pets and they love when he stops by. Erik recently fixed my laundry room door and it works and looks better now than it did when I moved in! Erik truly cares that we are happy in our apartment and puts in the extra effort to take care of any issues. I can't express enough how much we appreciate having Erik as our maintenance technician.

Please do not rent here. My husband and I moved into piles of dust everywhere, mold in the bathrooms, a broken stove, etc. Maintenance had to come out twice to fix all of the problems we had initially. <br> Then we had water leaking in our ceiling which took 6 maintenance visits and more than a month to fix. Maintenance (Steve Brown staff and outside vendors) were always late and were not prepared and had to leave to get supplies or keys. <br> Then we had an open vent (outside of the building) that allowed bees to build a hive inside our vents. When I called to get an exterminator ASAP (on a Thursday), I was told it would have to wait until Monday. I called and e-mailed several times before they finally got someone out on Friday.
