The only reason I am giving one star is because I liked the people in the office. The owner is awful though. My apartment was on the third floor of an old house and lacked in both AC and Heat. I had two windows open at all times and it did nothing. In the summer it was 96 degrees in my room. In the winter it was so cold (with the 'heat' on) that you had to wear multiple layers and spent most days under the covers. The primary reason for my complaint is that they never gave me my deposit back, or the month of rent I paid in advance, as well as the partial for the rent sense I moved out mid-month. I have it in email stating they owe me over $1000. I checked in regularly to see if I could get my check and they said I was probably never going to see it unless I went to court. I will never reco

I rented from McDonald property management my sophomore year of college. It was the first time I had ever rented, and let me tell you these are the WORST people to deal with. In my honest opinion, one star is generous for this company. The apartment I lived in was filthy when we arrived, my roommate’s bedroom still had male excrements on the walls when we moved in! There was mold under the baseboards and the lock was busted and remained that way for a long time until they finally agreed to fix it. They are very slow at getting back to you with problems or concerns, and do not give direct answers right away. They’re very shady. If I could rate this negative stars, I would. I have not received my security deposit from the 2 apartments I lived in, with this company. I also know people who have not received there's yet either, after 6+ months of being moved out. They also do not clean the apartments well after people move out. I would prepare to do a deep cleaning before you move your things into an apartment here.

This property management is just nightmare to work with. I moved out almost a year ago and still have not gotten my rent deposit back because they “forgot” to close it out. Dan is not a good property manager. It seems he deliberately avoids giving money back that is due to the renters. I’ve never had such troubles with a property before. Avoid this company at all cost.

McDonald properties are the worst renters I have ever rented from. It started before we even moved into the house. The person that was showing us the house either didn't know, or lied about how many parking spots we had. Right when we moved in we left a list of things that needed fixing around the house and it was over a month before anyone came to fix anything. Even when they came to fix the things on the list we left they only fixed half of the things on the list. And the only reason that they ever came to fix anything was because we kept badgering them about it. Dan (the manager) is basically impossible to get ahold of.
