I almost signed a lease with Marshall Park, but thankfully I had the good sense to do a final walkthrough of the apartment beforehand. Despite being assured on the first tour that the apartment would be well cleaned prior to move-in, on move-in day I found barely wiped surfaces, dust bunnies, cobwebs, drips and stains on the shades, dirt and grime, flaking cabinets, and subpar water pressure. I’ve toured other apartments in the area that had none of these issues, so I know I’m not being picky here. When I showed photos to the leasing agent, he seemed unfazed and slightly annoyed, as if he just wanted me to leave him alone. So I did. I noped right out of there. They can keep their free two months. If they’ll treat you like this before you sign the lease, imagine how they’ll treat you after
My fiancé and I just moved here about 3 months ago and already it's one of the worst apartment complexes we have lived in! Everyone at the front desk don't care about their customers at all except Bree. She is the only one who helps ever! I got locked out of my apartment because the key fob that we HAVE to use to get in died, I waited for an hour and a half for someone to come back to the office. Bree shows up, immediately helps me and turns out Aaron, the other front office person who is normally rude and unhelpful, was in the office hiding in the back the WHOLE TIME!!!! The accommodation for having to go out and pay $40 for our own batteries to fix the thing was 4 batteries....very helpful! Hopefully the next 9 months are better that the first 3 have been!
Bree and Aaron are fantastic, and maintenance is also fantastic. The apartments are nice, I have not experienced any of the aforementioned issues that others have (smoking, bugs, etc.) maybe I got lucky, but I have lived in two different units here and have never had those issues. The noise is natural, you live in an apartment… there will be noise. If the noise is crazy bad then just call security and let them handle it. You are close to everything, but also tucked away enough to where you don’t get all of the Raleigh noise. The only downside is the fire alarms, but even those don’t go off nearly as much as people say they do.
Marshall Park Apartments has some of the best features for apartment living in Raleigh — convenient location, parking garage access, and spacious layouts. I lived here for two years and enjoyed the renovated interiors and the overall setup of the complex. However, the experience was overshadowed by poor management. The front office staff is often unavailable and unresponsive. On multiple occasions, the office was closed during regular hours, with a “Tour in Progress” sign posted, only to find them walking dogs or tending to personal matters with their children. When issues arise — such as my car being scratched due to a broken garage gate or my storage unit being broken into and items were stolen — the response was consistently dismissive: “Sorry this happened,” with no follow-up or accou
The morning of my appointment I called to ensure my preferred unit was still available. As a possible future tenant the first drive into the parking lot set a negative tone for me. Congested and difficult parking situation. Absolutely nowhere to park to get into the leasing office. The staff inside were welcoming and assisted me with parking advising to move and park near a light pole. Then after parking I went back in to find out the apartment had been rented. A simple courtesy call would’ve sufficed. As this was in the middle of the day and I took off work to see this place. The lack of common courtesy would echo again here if I even decided to rent here, so this place has been marked off my list indefinitely. While the staff was apologetic, if the apartment was sold 2 hours before m
