Mandalay Apartments

I hope this helps somebody The Mandalay apartments and their managers have become nothing but liars. I had a bad experience in which I got approved to move in and then the management tried to ask me for an extra month of security deposit without warning. The managers at these locations are absolutely liars and I hope this helps somebody you have been warned.

Be aware. This place is not worth the monthly price that they are asking. I asked the property manager, why such an increase? I was told because that's what the market dictates. Oh really! This place was built in the 70's but they want you to pay "NEW" apartment prices. They do not have the amenities that those "NEW" apartment have. They have no weight room, no media room, no security, no pet area. They have a small swimming pool for 8 buildings. Keep in mind these are 2 story apartments. They have a very small laundry area not even half the size of a living room to service the entire property. Strey cats are everywhere on the property. Night after night you can hear cats fighting. Quiet environment near I-95. Its well-kept grounds are a nice place to raise a family, and all major shops and banks are less than a mile away. The downside was that they unfairly treated me after I gave them notice of our move well in advance—30 days, as the lease stipulated. They tried suing us, causing our credit to take a big hit. Also, if you don't speak Spanish or don't like living in community settings, don't move here. It's like a village.

I lived in this place for 2 years and the only compliment I have is that it quiet in the complex. Out of my whole 2 years of living there I experienced multiple issues that they failed to fix in a timely manner. For beginners they had gone through about 4 different property managers while I was residing there. They first property manger was said to be stealing rent money.After getting rid of him the the 2 property managers that came after stayed for about a week or 2.Now they have a property manager by the name of Monica. She is the rudest I've met thus far. Upon meeting her in person I called the leasing office about a problem I had in my unit and she hung up in my face.
