Management Support

I had an extremely frustrating and drawn-out experience with Management Support and Jill Evans, the property management company for Miravista. My apartment flooded, and instead of properly handling the situation, I was required to file an insurance claim totaling over $6,000. After the flooding, I informed them that I needed to move out due to the unit being unlivable. I was later given a balance of approximately $1,600 related to a broken lease and was told to settle the account, which I did in good faith and paid. After paying, I was then informed that the balance was not considered settled in full and that the payment was supposedly returned, despite being told previously that the matter was resolved. I recently lost my job. I wasn’t able to continue to pay my rent. I I spoke to assistant property manager Brooke explained my hardship. On my final bill she put skipped out and charged for the entire lease. My choice was to stay and be evicted or leave. Then I watched my apartment leased out in the same month. Under Texas Property Code §91.006, landlords are required to mitigate damages when a tenant moves out early. Because the apartment was re-leased, I am responsible only for the rent that accrued up to the date the new tenant began occupancy. Seems like I will obtain an attorney this is against the law.

The we recently moved out of Villas on Hampton and the people were stuck up besides a couple of the maintenance guys. We lived in the apartments for two years and you really didn't get any thing for re signing the lease. Our lease ended so we had to do month to month so we could find a place plus we had to give our notice two months ahead of moving out. I'm so glad we moved to a apartment that is actually luxury and the staff is more than happy to assist you. They charged us $30 for little thumb tack holes.Stay away from their properties.

Not even a one star (it made me do one to write this post) Haven't gotten a call back, just bills in the mail and email on top of my $500 security deposit (which I figured I wouldn't get back bc I have a pet). It has been nearly 2 weeks since we have moved out! They say they will call you back in 2 days, that's not true. But yet we have a deadline to pay for "cleaning fees" after my husband and I hired professionals to do so. Oh, and did I mention? They tow your cars even if you pay your rent on time and have the sticker on them, they also expect you to replace the carpet and basically everything else!! After they take your deposit!!

Recently moved out of Villas of Vista del Norte and encountered the WORST OFFICE STAFF I've ever dealt with. If you are looking at renting an apartment in this property, I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere. I've had problems with dealing with the staff and the information they provide since we signed our lease. When you move out, they will charge you for painting your apartment and cleaning the carpet so you definitely will not get your deposit back. On top of that, they will pile on fees at their convenience. Even if the office staff makes a mistake, you will still have to pay for whatever charges are added on, even if they were added there to no fault of your own. In reading previous reviews, I see that complaints about staff are a common thread, so clearly this is not an is
