Magnolia at Lakewood Apartments

Hi, my name is Carmen M. I have lived in Magnolia at Lakewood for a year and a half now and this is a lovely appartment community. I have always felt very safe living on the 1st floor and I was really happy to see concrete floors when I moved in because they are so easy to clean. Amanda is very attentive and always seems to have time to listen to your demands when you stop by the main office. One time I dropped my phone in the parking lot early in the morning and a resident took it to Amanda who immediately sent an email to all the residents. Together with Brittany they organize some events in the ammenities room for residents to get together during Christmas, Valentine's, etc. The downside for me personally has been dealing with my neighbor's dog poop in what used to be a common yard unti

We helped move a relative into this property and found it to have a very comfortable feel, and it was kept up just as nice. All the gates worked as expected. As a retired LEO, I challenged a person who waited for us to open the security door with the FOB. This person stated he was visiting someone, so I closed the door and told him to contact his party to gain entry. The property manager, Brittney, was very polite and professional.

The leasing team at Magnolia at Lakewood made the leasing and move in process super simple. I could tell that Amanda genuinely cared about making our first impression as tenants positive. She was very detailed and thorough while explaining different amenities, features, and access methods. She even stayed past office hours to personally introduce us to our new apartment! That was the silver lining after a stressful day, moving from out of state. Not only is the facility itself amazing, I feel like my unit is private and quiet. It’s also clear that the leasing team cares about creating community and keeping the buildings at their best for the tenants. I recommend this place for many reasons, but the strongest quality is definitely the team that keeps this place running!

I lived at Magnolia White Rock from January 2022 to December 2023. Pros 1. Location: It's in a good spot—close to downtown and areas like Lakewood and Greenville. That's about the only positive thing I can say. 2. Maintenance Staff: They were the one redeeming factor. When maintenance was actually needed, they were generally responsive and friendly—though it didn’t make up for the rest of the nightmare. Cons 1. Roach Infestation * The Start: In Summer 2023, I started seeing large waterbugs. At first, it was just an occasional bug. But that was only the beginning. * The Escalation: Fast forward a few weeks, and it went from 2-3 bugs a week to 2-3 a day. Roaches were everywhere. Baby roaches. Adult roaches. You name it. Lived here for a year and only moved because I wanted a change in location. The community is quiet (sometimes too quiet) but convenient to walk to a handful of restaurants and businesses. A short drive to Lakewood and Greenville. I can’t say enough good things about Amanda and Britney. The difference between them and the staff/management where I moved are night and day. Their helpfulness and communication are something I definitely took for granted - you will know from the minute you meet them that they really care, and they’re always a joy to talk to. I only had a few issues while living here but the management and maintenance team took care of them quickly. The complex did have some occasional parking gate issues but I have yet to live anywhere where that doesn’t happen from time to t
