Madison Crossing

The application is in itself a run around maze. They wont accept business co signing like the students use for getting an apartment in a different state. The fees are a pain in the butt, they said i got the apartment but gave me a list with fees included to make a larger hurtle. Jetty deposit isn't a actual deposit for the apartment, they don't even give the list prior to having the apartment. Kinda slapped on at the last. You have the apartment until they say you don't and don't get me started on needing 3 months worth of rent to even qualify.

This is an overview of our experience from 2021-2023. We thankfully do not live here anymore. TLDR: You will not receive your security deposit back. Maintenance requests take weeks to months to fix. There is no pool. If you break your lease early, CALL/EMAIL EVERY DAY to pay that fee. It will be sent to collections within the month and you will not receive notice of an invoice even existing. Rental application, approval, move in, etc. was acceptable, easy, and pleasant. They even helped us switch units when we realized we needed a two bedroom unit (instead of one bedroom). This was 2021-2022 time frame. We had a consistent maintenance worker, the pool was open, maintenance requests were completed relatively timely, and you could find someone in the office during posted office hours any tim

Wish no stars was an option. If you have other options, don't move to Madison Crossing. In the 5 years I lived there the facility continually went down hill. I paid my rent and an early termination fee before I moved out. I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in. When I left, I was charged for damaged blinds and pans under the stove burners and I have no problem paying for damages. But, they are charging me to clean the carpet and the apartment to get it ready to rent. This is their responsibility not mine. I left the apartment in better shape than when I moved in. They make it very clear, you either pay up or they turn it over to a collection agency. The owners will bully tenants with the threat of collection. If they respond, it will be that is not who they are but that is obvio

This is long but if you are thinking about moving to Madison Crossing please read: If I could give 0 stars I would. If I could move, I would. Unfortunately Vernon has a housing shortage. We have had issues since moving in, August 2021. These issues were reported when we moved in and nothing has been done. The garbage disposal backs up into the dishwasher, the carpet was ANCIENT when we moved in (I'm really curious to see when the last time it was replaced was), The cabinet in the kitchen has what appears to be mold (which makes me wonder where else there could be mold), the a/c has never worked (many other residents I've talked to have this same issue) and they finally came up with a solution last year to give everyone a window unit (.........wut), which helps us not die of heat stroke bu

Manager Courtney Hernandez does not take care of tenant issues when asked. She will run to her car and lock the doors of the office to hide from tenants who have an issue. She let a 1 year old live in a hot apt all summer long. Do not recommend until new management is in.
