We had a truly terrible experience working with Mr. Bob Rodman and Long & Foster. He repeatedly misled us on key issues, including giving incorrect information about capital gains and Maryland real estate laws. For instance, he told us that Maryland law requires the use of a realtor to buy or sell a home, which we unfortunately believed at the time. There was also an instance where he declined a showing, stating that we had already accepted an offer, when in reality, we hadn't even been informed about any offers. We only discovered them through his showing portal, as he never communicated with us. This has left us wondering if we could have received a better offer had he kept us properly informed. First time homebuyer that bought a house where the sellers were represented by Fatma Halici of this agency. During our tour, Fatma assured us how the house had been taken care of so well, and she knew the family and they were great and she had sold them the house originally years ago. The home inspection turned up issues with deferred maintenance but nothing major. During the process we agreed to have the sellers do certain repairs as part of the contract. The contractor they hired was extremely poor and did a sloppy job on everything. He didn't finish most of the work before closing and we had to hound the selling agent and contractor nearly every day, with the work finally being finished weeks after closing.
