I have lived at The Lofts for just under a year, and unfortunately my experience has been consistently disappointing. Many of the previous reviews accurately reflect the issues here. Noise has been a persistent problem. The walls are extremely thin, and frequent loud disturbances make it difficult to focus or study — which is especially concerning for student housing. In addition, there are ongoing cleanliness concerns. The hallways often smell of marijuana, and the elevators are frequently dirty or have an unpleasant odor. Another major issue has been pests. Despite being told that pest control services the building weekly, insects continue to appear inside the unit. On one occasion, I found a bug above my bed. I was informed that “some bugs are normal,” but I have lived in multiple apa

I would not recommend to any student. I lived there for three years for the "convenience factor", but it was not a great experience. I have never left a review about an apartment complex before, but the experience here was so bad it needed to be mentioned so no one made the same mistake we did. I lived there with my now wife and both of us swear we will never live at another place owned by the same company. If you have a chance to live in the dorms or Rosemont choose those over this place. There are many problems within their system. Management changes every three months. The apartment was sub par living conditions. We had many issues with leaks and even had a window seal that busted when it rained. They fixed the leak, but never fixed the window seal and surrounding paint so we just had

READ CAREFULLY: do not live here. If proximity to campus is important to you, live in the dorms. I promise Lofts at Mercer Atlanta is NOT worth the cost. Since 2022, they have raised the rent, and unbundled all amenities, which was the primary allure in me moving in. At that point, you are better off living somewhere near campus where you have new resident specials, a pool, functional gym equipment, and neighbors who have decorum. Cost of attendance cannot keep up with Lofts and their predatory policies that harm students. I literally broke my lease because I could not see myself staying until the end of my lease term. I even spoke to someone from corporate, named Jessica, about my growing dissatisfaction with my living experience. She was very condescending over the phone and tried to ex

The Lofts at Mercer Atlanta is Not What It Once Was The new management has completely changed the experience, and not for the better. The Lofts brand was once about providing luxury student apartments with an all-inclusive payment structure—a higher price upfront but with the convenience of everything included. Now, they've switched to an area average base rent + technology fee + trash fee + electric bill, making costs less transparent and more expensive. Even more frustrating is their harassment over payments. Expect repeated eviction threats via mass emails and texts, even if you’ve already paid in full or months in advance. Their approach is lazy and predatory, treating responsible tenants like delinquents. Living Conditions Weed & Noise: Despite being a non-smoking facility, the smel

Update as of 9/3/2024: Although the staff here is amazing and the issue never lies within them, they are all proficient, thorough and do their jobs well. HERES THE ISSUE: ELEVATORS, I don’t know what is it going take for the elevators to stop shutting down ! Like I live on the 5th floor and had to carry groceries back and forth it’s insane, whenever the elevators in rare occasions are working there are NO carts ! People steal them, keep them in their apartments. For the price of these apartments and the fact that they no longer include electricity in the rent, there is really no benefit of being here as a student. There are places on the market that come with more space and amenities and cheaper. However, the wonderful management team does plan events for us to have which is really nice.
