Lofts At Hawthorne Mill

I have lived at Hawthorne for over 3 years, in a 2-bedroom unit and a 1-bedroom unit. The staff (especially Stefan and Jordan) has consistently been incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive. The apartments are pretty, and the community is kept up well. Maintenance is always quick to respond. I am moving to a different neighborhood, but I will always look back fondly on my time at the Lofts!

The inside of the apartments are beautiful. The floors are refurbished wood. They look great and also help hide small dirt and crumbs between vacuum days. The large windows are gorgeous and let in sun most parts of the day, however they don't open to let in any fresh air. The flip side is that I never found any bugs anywhere in my apartment. They do periodically offer free bug spraying services, which I imagine the first floors would need. They also hold around 4 small complex-wide events per month, such as a karaoke night or an ice cream sundae event. The leasing office is more helpful than an average leasing office is. I love my apartment and the community! I’ve lived here for about 6 months and have really enjoyed it. Cali has been wonderful to work with since the beginning. Yes, you hear sounds in the hall and sometimes your neighbors but that’s part of living in an industrial apartment building like this, and it really doesn’t bother me! The maintenance team has also been great. I adore the huge arched windows, high ceilings, modern updates, and building character. I appreciate the attention to detail with the renovation as all the countertops, fixtures, hardware, and appliances are high quality. The sound of the rain on the metal roof is heavenly!!! Location is perfect for me. Definitely recommend.

I just moved into my new loft-style unit here and I absolutely love it! The design is modern, spacious, and has such a great vibe. The community feels welcoming and well-kept, and it’s clear that people take pride in living here. The staff has been super friendly, helpful, and easy to work with, which made the moving process smooth and stress-free. I just renewed my lease and was asked to give a review and I will be as honest as possible. First off, I’ve been here for many years so obviously the pros outweigh the cons. Pros: -Location -Historical nature of the building and units -Amenities: Gym, Pool and Fire pit but I’ve been told we can no longer refer to them as amenities but they rather utilities. (You all can guess why this shift occurred) - Staff: Stefan, Kaili and Mike are all helpful, kind and communicative. - My unit has never had bugs or lots of noise beyond the normal “I live in an apartment” noise. -Easy to pay rent. -No more signs threatening fines! Cons: Basically property manager and above her with some examples below: - Avoidance: Nearly every time there is an issue or any type of bad news they will send an email
