Loftey

I decided to use Loftey after a friend recommended them. I had an amazing experience, and found my dream apartment! I was shocked to find out that they do not charge a fee, which is hard to come by in NYC (even during the pandemic, there always seemed to be a "catch" when I reached out on my own for listings that seemed too good to be true by advertising no fee, months free etc). Not only do they save you money on traditional fees, they even lowered my rent and I'm getting money back! I was truly relieved to see that there was no "catch" with Loftey. In a time when the rental market picked up swiftly coming out of the pandemic, they were very responsive and moved quickly to provide me with options that fit the aesthetic and requirements I was looking for. Working with Nicholas was a great experience. He did a good job listening to what we wanted in an apartment and was on top of asking questions at all of our viewings. We were able to just take in the apartments while Nick got the details for us. One thing we did notice is that Loftey seems to have certain management companies they have a relationship with. We didn’t push hard to see things that weren’t on the Loftey listings, but neither was it immediately offered to us. Perhaps not a good or bad thing, just something we noticed. Overall, the handling of scheduling and viewings and communicating with the building was worth it for us this go around. If you’re looking to land in a building with a larger management company, Loftey is a good way to go.

Had the absolute best experience with Loftey. Our broker, Karen, was an incredible partner and resource to us throughout our process. From scheduling apartment tours to helping us sign our lease, she demonstrated amazing professionalism and was such an ally to me and my roommates. I truly can't imagine living anywhere else than where we ended up, and none of it would have been possible without Karen and Loftey. Will 100% be using Loftey in the future, and highly recommend Karen!

I was pretty disappointed with my experience using Loftey. At the beginning they seemed eager to help and extremely thorough. However, when it came time to find an apartment I wasn’t thrilled. It seemed they were in a rush to just place me in an apartment even if it wasn’t right for me. Almost like they didn’t want to spend a second day showing me more options. After placing an application on an apartment, my broker told me to continue to find myself a back up plan incase that one didn’t work. There was no assistance with that. When the application fell through, I never heard from Loftey again. I found out on my own that I didn’t get the apartment. I had a wonderful experience finding my dream apartment through Loftey. My broker Tatum did a great job. She was very professional, punctual and attentive. She listened to what I wanted and only showed me apartments that fit the bill. When I ran into a snag with the apartment I wanted to rent, she went out of her way to try to resolve the issue as well as find alternatives. And I didn’t even have to pay a broker’s fee.
