LightBAR Apartments

I absolutely loved my time at LightBAR. I was here for about two years. The apartment has a clean, modern style with thoughtful touches, and one of my favorite features was the in-unit washer and dryer—so convenient! The community space out front is beautiful and well-maintained, which made it feel like home. It’s also super dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for me. I loved taking walks to La Costa, a cute little coffee shop that’s just a short stroll away. The location itself is fantastic—right in midtown, with plenty of walkable restaurants and things to do. While there were a few incidents involving homelessness, it didn’t take away from my overall positive experience. I love this apartment. The space feels minimal and thoughtfully designed, which makes it really easy to keep clean and comfortable. Tons of natural light throughout the day. The building feels very safe and secure with a peaceful atmosphere overall. Street parking is surprisingly easy to find, even during busier times, which has been a huge plus. The common areas are always spotless, the cleaning crew comes weekly and does a great job. You can tell the property is well-managed and cared for. It’s been a great place to stay!

The most beautiful apartment I have ever had the privilege of calling home. LightBAR is exceptional. Property management is wonderful—super approachable and accommodating and goes above and beyond to make sure the community and tenants are taken care of. The community itself is a new build so apartments are extremely clean, modern, and equipped with brand new appliances. Location is in a tucked away, quiet part of midtown while still being within walking distance of the farmers’ market, coffee shops, etc. The complex has 13 units, which, combined with occasional community nights, makes for positive relationships/friendships among neighbors. Overall, cannot say enough good things about this gem!

These apartments are so much better than anything else I've seen in Sacramento. It's a cute, smaller complex, and the management is very responsive to residents. The apartment design is clean and cozy with new appliances and beautiful design/lighting. It's in a quiet neighborhood but you can still walk to farmers market, shops, etc. I had a lot better experience renting here than my previous experiences in Sacramento....a lot of larger complexes just pack residents in and don't respond to problems or care about design/quality building. Light Bar was SO MUCH nicer and I would definitely recommend renting here to anyone.

We lived here for two years and, for the most part, really enjoyed it. The complex is clean and quiet, and the neighbors were great. One positive worth noting is that the landlord was helpful when we needed to move out a month early—he was able to find a new renter to take over the unit right after we left, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our move-out experience still significantly soured our overall impression. We took care of the unit, hung a few pictures and a TV, patched holes before leaving, and even paid for professional cleaners. Despite that, we were charged over 50% of our security deposit—$823 for painting and $325 for cleaning. We followed up on the charges, especially the cleaning fees, but management wasn’t flexible.
