We purchased the manufactured home, used realize there's going to be issues. One of the issues that we didn't expect was a home inspection not worth the paper it was written on. From the get-go we found several issues, starting with the roof and flashing that was not done properly but according to the inspection it was. A big red flag should have been that they did not have access to the crawl space the 6-ft door in the carport, they must have missed. 6 months into this home ownership and we are having to replumb the entire plumbing system to the house. And re-anchor the entire house because there are just 7 straps for an entire 1900 ft house. In addition to home inspections, Liberty Property Inspections, Inc. performs comprehensive wind mitigation surveys. Mike came out to inspect our 1957 home and provide us with the report. There were measures we could take to harden our home against hurricane damage therefore reducing our homeowners’ policy premium. He then referred us to a company that retrofits hurricane clips and straps. This reduced our premium by 40%! We are ecstatic!

Almost purchase a 2800 sq/ft home full of issues. Before the inspection, I was 100% sure of buying the home. The inspection report was so detailed and explanatory. It was an eye opener.
