Liberty Military Housing - Yorktown

I have lived in this community as a military spouse, as well as a veteran civilian. I can honestly say I am glad we chose this housing when we were new to Virginia. I have raised 3 successful young men here, and currently raising my last. The safety, security, cleanliness, and timely repairs mean the most. Mrs. Winona, in the office, has been the best person we have encountered in the 12 years we have been living here. She is very patient, respectful, professional, loving, and no nonsense in the most compassionate way. I have lived through a lot of staff rotations, but she has stuck and been the best person to ever have the community's back. I have been treated with the same respect from Liberty housing as military and civilian, which is why we have continued to be a part of the community.

The staff at the office and maintenance are all wonderful (especially Winona). We are always greeted with enthusiasm and the office environment is welcoming. There are often fun events that Liberty holds at the housing office for residents, which we appreciate. Sure, there are negatives to living in military housing, and since the homes are older they have their faults, but at least the staff is great and maintenance always addresses things in a timely manner.

Lived here over 2 years and the staff has been amazing all around. The house is great, maintenance is on top of work request's, and the girls in the office always go above and beyond. A special shoutout to Lexi who is always friendly and makes time to help the residents.

Maintenance.. specifically Rafael has always gone above and beyond for us on any work order that we may put in. He always asks if there is anything else we need while he’s here fixing other things. He went out of his way to be sure to fix our outside screen door because he noticed it was sticking and I didn’t even mention it to him. It’s always “yes/no ma’am or yes/no sir.” He even loves on my doggo like his own. He’s very respectful, and reliable. We never feel like he’s rushing just to get the job done while he’s here. He’s deserves a raise, and employee of the year! Truly, the kindest person there is!

Liberty is great. They are always on top of things and treat you with kindness and respect. Shout out to Lexi, Melissa, Laura, and the whole maintenance crew. Ty and appreciate you very much.
