Pattern of Misrepresentation, Unauthorized Entry, and Failure to Address Ongoing Issues Our experience reflects repeated misrepresentation of amenities, incomplete maintenance work, delayed repairs, and disregard for tenant consent. ⸻ Amenities Not Maintained as Represented •The hot tub has reportedly been nonfunctional since at least October 2025. Prospective tenants are told it is “being fixed.” No repair has been completed. •The sauna does not reach operational temperature. Two maintenance requests were submitted and both were marked “completed” without any actual repair. ⸻ Entry After Written Denial of Access •Management sent the original notice of entry one day before Thanksgiving. •We responded in writing that we would be away on a holiday trip with family for a four-day weekend
The upper management at Bernstein is VERY Unresponsive. I’ve contacted them several times inquiring when the hot tub will be fixed, as it’s been broken for the almost two months I’ve been here. I still have not received a response. I feel as though I’m getting cheated the $500 non-refundable amenity fee. Mario from the leasing office as well as Lola and Karen in the concierge are great, as well as the cleaning staff…But the property owners are lacking professionalism, IMO.
Bernstein management has not inspected and treated individual apartments for pest control since taking over management of the building several years ago. Now there is a pest infestation. Tenants must remove all items from kitchen cabinets, drawers, countertops, top of refrigerator, bathroom cabinets and move furniture away from all outlets so that pest control treatment can be performed. The previous management company inspected and treated individual apartments every 3-6 months and used gel to control pests. There was never a requirement that tenants remove items from cabinets, drawers, surfaces, and move furniture. Before I posted a negative review on the website, I saw other negative reviews from months ago regarding roach infestation. Why did it take so long for Bernstein to begin i
I was looking for a new apartment and therefore, visited the Lenox Club Apartments. It offers competitive prices among all apartments buildings which are located near metro station and have DC skyline view. The building is a little bit old, but very clean and neat, and its renovated units are great. The staff are very friendly here. The leasing agent Karina is one of the most impressive leasing agents I have ever met. She answered me lots of questions with patience. No matter If you are a student, or if you will work here, this is a great place to consider. It’s just in walking distance to nearby metro stations, food market, restaurants and the malls. You can enjoy DC night scene here with lower payment compared to other buildings nearby. Although I finally decide to live in other place, I
We have been living here for three years and never has the COCKROACH situation been this bad. They are EVERYWHERE: by the pool, the loading dock, the stairwells, in apartments, etc. My apartment is squeaky clean and they still appear... and now cockroach babies have arrived... yipppppie, which fully demonstrates that this building is infested. Although cockroaches are literally in the main lobby, the building management team hasn't addressed this universally whatsoever. Specifically, no building-wide measures have been undertaken and it's getting out of control. It's very disgusting, especially for a building they are trying to frame as luxury housing. Embarrassing.
