Legacy at Fort Clarke

Hi! I’m writing a second review because honestly I can’t say enough good things about living here. Right before we moved in, in July, management and ownership changed hands. I never experienced previous management or maintenance, but we have felt so welcomed here. The leasing agent was a dream, if there was a hiccup she worked quickly and efficiently to get everything in order. When we moved in maintenance was fast and took care of anything we needed. We are in walking distance of the kid’s schools and have loved both. Special shout out to Javier on the maintenance team. He has helped with little things like lights (I needed them on his day off and he went to Home Depot and got them himself because the shipment for the complex had not arrived yet, and came to install them.) Getting in was amazing!! 😍😍😍 The apartment issues after being in here 90 days...wish I would have had time to chose more carefully. Wish I had chose a house instead of apartments. My mail is messed up because we have 2 last names in my home. Apartment has war damage and has had it before. I'm sure if it isn't mold here, there will be. And 4 out of of 6 of us have asthma. I'm not sure how this will go. My kids like it and that's all that matters to me. My January baby birthday was the 1st one to have a birthday since we moved here. She wishes it was a better playground!!

It's underwhelming. But on my walk early yesterday I saw we have new neighbors. I definitely don't want to get harassed by homeless people. I hope someone can do something to get then out of the community even though I have sympathy for them. Who knows if they are on drugs or if they are safe. They are directly across from the dog park and kids play area too....sigh

Nightmare experience in 2025. Mold in bathrooms/windows, mosquitoes inside the fridge, and leaking ceilings. They are scammers: they won't return my deposit after 4 months and staff 'knows nothing.' Avoid Legacy Fort clarke / West Shore management!"

I am not one to post reviews or to care too much about minor inconveniences but this apartment complex and their lack of strong & consistent management/staff deserves a review! By far the worst experience I’ve ever had living in an apartment in Gainesville. If I could give zero stars I would! We signed our lease back in july, from the start they were giving misinformation. One of the biggest misinformation was that we were told that they would reserve the specific apartment style even though it wasn’t listed on the leasing application- wrong. After jumping through literal hoops to get an apartment here we finally finished the leasing process a month later, literally a week before our move in date.
