This is by far the worst company to rent from in Charleston, and I strongly advise against listing or renting a property with them. Throughout our three-year lease, we dealt with ongoing AC and heating issues. They repeatedly sent unqualified repair people with no notice, and the problems were never properly resolved. When our lease ended, the experience became even worse. They refused to provide any explanation for withholding over half of our large security deposit and ignored multiple emails until we threatened legal action. Only then did they respond and we still did not receive the full amount back with little to no explanation. Save yourself the headache and stay away

Be aware of these people. They do not answer any calls or emails. Tried to go in person as well and got shut down. Fraud HOA organization. But not for long. What a shame, getting these shady people out of our low country.

I would give Rent Chas & Leasing and Management Co a NEGATIVE 100 if I could. UNethical, UNcommunicative, money grubbing slumlords are all they are. $20 a month for a air filter I can get at Walmart for less than $10, policy changes with no notice, constant property manager changes. Kept $1000 of my security deposit for "painting". Take TONS of pics like I did, so you can prove you left a place in perfect condition. I'll be getting my money back at an extra expense...to THEM. Woulda painted the place myself for less $40 before I moved out, IF it had needed it AND if it was even legal for them to require it! Its NOT, FYI to others. Pics taken MULTIPLE times after moved and before lease ended. Even filled in a touched up holes left by PREVIOUS weed smoking renters, and any picture nail hole

I rented from Leasing and Management for several years and was pleased with my experience. Management made sure to keep up with regular maintenance and any requests I made. The staff was easy to work with and made sure the unit and property stayed in great shape. Unfortunately due to the sale of the property, I had to move out, but I enjoyed doing business with them. I recommend doing business with them!
