I strongly do NOT recommend living at Lamar Landing Apartments! I want to share my honest experience living at Lamar Landing Apartments so that future tenants are aware of the problems I encountered. During my time living here, I experienced multiple serious issues: • Cockroach problem – Even though I kept my apartment very clean, there were still many cockroaches. This indicates that pest control for the building is not effective. • Maintenance problems ignored – A leaking pipe in my unit was never repaired for more than a year, despite reporting it. • Broken air conditioner – The AC stopped working and remained broken for several months while I was still living there. This place is trash, no emergency maintenance. There's a tree that been down since Harvey! Sewage is terrible too..Lately I've been a little afraid because the lights are off on the outside of my apartment. This is scary because you never know who can sneak up on you. Lamar Landing Apartments in Beaumont, TX has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I moved out on February 25, 2025, and after more than eight months, I am still fighting to get back my $250 security deposit that I paid when I first moved in back in June 2022. I have a signed lease, move-in paperwork, and a written receipt signed by the former manager clearly showing I paid $1,100 total, including the deposit. The current management keeps saying they can’t find any record of my deposit — simply because the old manager left. That makes no sense! At first chrislyn was good . However she changed when a new office manager was put in. The new office manager is by far the rudest, unprofessional, ignorant, person I have ever encountered . I had been without air for two months . It would be 90 degrees in my apartment. They claimed they gave a portable air conditioner to use . Which didn’t do anything . I literally had to have 3 fans of my own blowing to stay cool . Now the new office girl had only been there a week . When I went down to ask the status of getting it fix .
