Lalique Point Apartments

As a former delivery driver, if I could give this place a true rating, it would be a big fat 0. The pot holes in this place alone don't even qualify as pot holes anymore, it's like pot ponds at this point. If I didn't drive a SUV I'm certain my car would have gotten stuck. But wait! There's more!! Let's discuss the 'wooden' stairs that lead to the upstairs units. To call them 'wooden' is giving them WAY more credit then what they have. Properly made wooden stairs are sturdy, the steps don't lift up when you step on them, they do not groan and crack under your feet. These stairs should legally have to be referred as 'death traps waiting to go off'. So much for that Centerville luxury apartment experience!

I will not be renewing my lease in the coming months. Everything about this place is just awful now. Horribly overpriced for what you get. - Outdated appliances that break down often. Broken appliances are replaced with older refurbished model appliances. - Parking lot is incredibly small and there’s always people parked illegally along the garages on the weekends just so they don’t have a walk the length of a 1/3 of a football field to get to their apartment. - DEEP potholes on both sides of the parking lot that haven’t been fixed in over a year now. - Dog waste containers are always overfilled with bags on the ground around it and it stays that way for days on end. - Black mold is steadily growing nightmare (I have asthma so I have to run an air purifier at all times to minimize exposur

In short…. 1998 fixtures at 2024 prices. Lalique reeks of a corporate landlord that doesn’t care about its tenants (up there with a Connor Group property). Property has been poorly maintained. Almost everything on the interior and exterior is original and looks old and worn out. Who the heck still uses a stove with a heating coil in 2024?!?! They keep trying to put minimal money in to the property while extracting the most rent possible. They just fix things poorly, it’s a fight to get anything replaced. Will not be renewing. This property is a perfect example of while the rental industry needs more regulation. Edit. They are slumlords. Let’s call a spade a spade.

Without going into very technical details, I will not be renewing a lease here nor would I recommend my experience for anyone like me. Please keep in mind when reading this that employers have to learn about skills of their employees, etc. and this can change at any given time. Also, employees do represent the managements policies, right or wrong, ethically, and all are being paid for their services and help with their property costs.

The apartment itself is nice. The laundry room door doesn't close once you put a washer and dryer in it. The thing that makes me give them a one star is that the people that lived below us where heavy smokers and we where the 5th family to live there in 2 years, according to the neighbors. We were not told this until moving day and we had no time to find any other place to live. With in 4 weeks of living there all of our things smelled of cigarette smoke and to make it worse both my husband and daughter have asthma and were having problems breathing. My employer has a smoking policy saying that I cannot even be exposed to second hand smoke, I could of lost my job by living there.
