Lakeside at Southwood Apartments

I rarely leave reviews, but after residing at lakeside for 2.5 years, I feel it’s important to share my recent experience. Throughout my tenancy, I was a responsible resident and had never been late or considered a problematic tenant. Unfortunately, my most recent interactions with the office reflected a noticeable lack of clear communication, consistency, and knowledge of proper internal processes. When I proactively reached out to address a time-sensitive account matter, I received conflicting information that ultimately complicated a situation that could have been handled much more smoothly with proper guidance and consideration. Additionally, the trash and waste areas have been poorly maintained, which negatively impacts the overall appearance of the community. It is also concerning

2025 Edit: After living here for nearly 2 years, I cant say we have the same quality experience as when we first moved in. The rent has gone up, the flooring has been peeling, the fans are noisy and the water pressure has always been weak. A new property management company was brought in, Heather was replaced with Ginger. And the problems just started snowballing. One of the BEST apartment complexes in town stained with poor upkeep and guidance for tenants. Im disappointed and saddened that its turned into this. It brings me no pleasure making this review but I gotta be honest here. Ive noticed how theres always problems around the trash dumpster & the recycling dumpster. Its become standard practice for tenants to leave piles of furniture and trash in this one parking spot near the dumps

The new flooring was installed in my apartment today and it looks amazing! The crew arrived this morning around 8ish, and they worked tirelessly and efficiently all day until the job was complete. They were so professional and kind and handled my furniture with care while moving it. Afterwards, they made sure that everything was put back in its proper place. And the floors really look so good!! I get that it is a minor inconvenience…but it was totally WORTH IT! So if you are dreading it, please don’t, three words..JUST DO IT! You won’t be disappointed. They look good and more importantly, are safe!

We just recently moved in and we have been impressed every step of the way! As someone who has moved quite a bit I can say that this was one of the most seamless move in experiences I have ever had. All of the staff members are super sweet and pleasant to work with as well. They were happy to answer the many random questions we had during move in. We have been so impressed by how peaceful and quiet it is here and our dogs love it too.

Loved the property , beautiful property but operations don’t match price. Looked online saw 1/1 available scheduled online tour , arrived the receptionist was completely unaware, the apartment that I was supposed to tour was not prepared. Was told I would be contacted in 30-60 minutes for a possible retour. Was contacted hours later. Rescheduled the tour but stopped by a day prior to avoid wasting time again and the unit is not available for leasing just touring… which was never discussed nor displayed online. At $1600 , the operations, set up & systems need to match.
