Lakeside Apartments

I have lived here since late spring and I love it!!!! Could not be happier with my unit and the community! The amenities are great (nice pool and hot tub, walking trails, dog park, recycling, trash valet, gym that is currently being updated with new equipment, ample parking, volleyball/tennis/basketball courts, family playground, beach and lake, and more!) The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, I love being around so much nature, people are friendly and actually take care of each other, and maintenance is wonderful. In the big snowstorm the maintenance people actually came out and helped people shovel out their cars, which was amazing and so helpful! There are lots of dogs in the neighborhood, and people are good about being responsible dog owners. I was a little worried that the location

This is, by far, the best rental experience I've ever had. The place is well-kept, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the trails all around the lake and all the way over to the Monticello Trail as just superb. I feel like I'm living in the woods even though I'm so close to town. If I do have a minor issue, the maintenance guys show up sometimes SAME DAY! They are just so responsive. Based on some past experiences I've had; this responsiveness makes me feel very valued and appreciated. Another thing I appreciate is the high bar at which the staff holds the residents. I think that because the manager doesn't tolerate people behaving badly, and there are rules about personal conduct, everyone I meet is just really cool! It appears that the type of person who would want to mess up

Uh oh - I smell fraud. Recently was on a waiting list for an apartment here and am waiting for my $125 back. Spoke with a friend who lives here who told me they charge high rent but the apartments are quite small and definitely not worth the price. Located across the street from a juvenile detention center. There is a Wegmans, who cares? After I talked with him I withdrew my application. They openly tell you the $50 application fee is non-refundable (its a processing fee, background check probably) which is normal. The $125 is separate and told returned to you if you choose to not rent or applied to the security deposit if you choose to rent. Liars. Liars. Liars. Established community with plenty of older trees and plantings and a small lake and lots of easy walking/biking trails in the surrounding area on county land.

Lakeside is a wonderful community and living here has been a dream. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. There are great trails, tons of different trees, and- of course- a beautiful lake. The grounds team really work hard and are such great guys. The community is very diverse- grad students, young professionals, families, and retirees- and very dog friendly. One of my favorite parts of living here is that there's always a new puppy and my dog has made so many four-legged friends. The location is great too; close to downtown and the new shopping center, but also not too developed so it's nice and quiet. And last, but not least, the team who manages the property are great. Very helpful, friendly, and professional. Do yourself a favor and live at Lakeside.
