Lago Vista Apartments

These apartments changed managers and maintenance often, never fixed repairs. Doesn’t care for black mold growth or concerns for their tenants health. Until kicking out old tenants they started calling pet control. Painted over black mold or put boards over it to pass state inspections. Manager was rude and disrespectful, i doubt she is still there because no manager stays long enough to discuss issues or paperwork. They misplace paper work and files and place blame on tenants. I hope they have a decent, civil manager and maintenance who actually fix work orders in order. Car break-in’s and entrance gate always needing to be repaired. I moved in on November 2017 & just moved out January 2018. It seemed nice when we moved in. But, we soon realized it was roach infested. The carpets seemed new. But, after a day you could smell animal urine. We were promised new carpet and never got it. We have 3 kids including a newborn. The restroom door was rotten and wouldn't close. They never fixed it. The neighbors are horrible and so is the parking. The lady at the front desk is nice but not when it comes to fixing things. Its next door to a school and gets very loud as well. Its OK if you don't mind bugs and noise. But, I don't recomend then especially if you have kids.

So we lived there from 2019-2021 of October. I've yet to lie on this place, and say anything negative about any other complexes my kids and I have lived at. I tell y'all the management said we couldn't renew our lease cause they felt like we couldn't properly take care of the unit, saying we had an infestation, and I made it worse?! Idk about the spelling, but she was awesome) about the refrigerator, and she wanted to get us a new one, but the main owners weren't cooperating and said it needed to just be cleaned.......well the refrigerator ITSELF was infested with roaches. Where do I start!!!!!? First week there gun shots went off in front of our door, neighbors didn't care if children were outside. Water runs through the first floor when it rains. After a while a roach infestion started. And the teenagers next door smoke weed and I don't mind it till my son's room smells so bad it probably gets him high, he's only two. Not to mention the parking is the WORST PARKING FOR ANY RESIDENCE. People with fight for parking here. The gates constantly break cause parents don't take care of or watch their rugrats which should be old enough to know better. The only good Thing is the play ground. Even the washateria there sucks. Have some friends that love there. They are some very nice apartments. Most living there are prettyfriendly. Also part of the river runs along the drive. All fenced in and security gate at the entrance. Did not seem over crowded. Looks as if there is plenty of parking. Lighting is very good, no dark areas in and around the parking lot. Sort of a kids play area at the end of drive. Very nice place.
