I lived in this building for 3 yrs. At renewal, management proposed an increase of nearly $600/mo. At the same time, identical units in my line were renting for roughly $500 less per month than what I was being asked to pay. Being offered a higher rate than what the building was marketing to new renters was frustrating as a long term tenant. The move out process was even more concerning. I had to vacate before my lease ended due to building scheduling and was not refunded for those unused days. My lease did not state that keys had to be returned to the front desk and no one from management did either, so I left them in the apartment. I was later told I would be charged daily fees until I physically returned them, even though the keys were with the building and I no longer lived nearby.

We made a huge mistake ignoring the low ratings and reviews. The property management and the superintendent are extremely arrogant and unhelpful, and they will do everything they can to make your move-in and move-out difficult unless you use their movers. And forget about getting your security deposit back. The stories from other tenants about the dubious claims they make to keep deposits and then ignore you are crazy. Don't fall for their trap. Stay away from this building and management.

Terrible place with cockroaches all over!! Vasel, who's the super in the building, is EXTREMELY RUDE. Their maintenance is horrible. It takes an average of 15 minutes to wait for an elevator, and the rooftop is CLOSED for most of the year. They also don't hold packages if you are not home and will REFUSE to return your security deposit when you move out. PLEASE DO NOT choose here. I've lived in multiple places in NYC, and this building has the ABSOLUTE WORST service in the city!!

Zero Stars if I Could: Avoid This Building at All Costs My experience with this building, particularly with the super Vasel and the management company, has been an absolute nightmare. After renting here for nearly five years without missing a single payment—even during the pandemic—we encountered serious issues when we decided to move out. Despite giving a full month’s notice of our move-out date, we were informed that we couldn’t move out as planned because someone else was scheduled to do so on the same day. This was just the beginning of our troubles. We hired the building’s cleaner to ensure the apartment was spotless, but the super Vasel instructed him not to clean the stove—clearly setting us up to lose our security deposit. Under pressure and with a flight to catch, we ended up c

update 2024 move out: Overall the building was good, decent location except the neighborhood feels less safe in the last few years. Some great staff such as Speedy and Peter. The building raised our rent in 2022 by $1,195, and in 2023 by $500. In 2024 for a lease renewal, they offered us a higher rate than you could get an equivalent 2 bedroom a few floors below us on street easy or for new renters despite us pain rent on time 8 years with no issues/complaints. It was very insulting to offer us higher rent than what they thought was fair market price for a new tenant. After we told them we would not renew our lease they offered to negotiate, but too late, we upgraded to a better building with some actual amenities (this buildings roof is closed half the year, and the gym is really a joke).
