La Jolla Canyon Apartments

Just moved out and honestly gonna miss this place! 😊 The staff here are absolute gems - from the front office folks to the maintenance crew, everyone's just so darn friendly and helpful. Whenever something needed fixing, the maintenance team would show up with a smile and actually chat while they worked. Made the whole experience so much more pleasant than the usual "we'll be there between 8am and whenever we feel like it" vibe you get elsewhere. Honestly, if I didn't have to move for work, I'd probably still be there. Really solid community with people who actually care. 10/10 would live here again！

Pros: Mary at the leasing office is great and always helpful. The property is beautiful and not too big or crowded. Neighbors were all nice. There is always parking available. If you have a pet, they always keep the pick-up bags stocked. The pool and hot tub are nice. The hot sauna is nice. Walking distance to UTC is great. Maintenance is very responsive and friendly. There’s a walking trail through a canyon behind the property (hence the name). Cons: The gym equipment is very limited. The hot tub was frequently under repair. We had a second-story unit with west-facing windows and it got HOT in there year round. Laundry was a bit pricy at $2.75 per wash and dry, so $5.50 for washing and drying one load. We loved our time at LJ canyon! The staff is very friendly, competent, and helpful! The move in and move out processes were both easy and straightforward. Maintenance was prompt and things were generally well kept. The amenities are great except the gym which is just small. The outdoor spaces are very nice and useful. Parking was never a problem which was great. You can hear the trolley at night depending on where your apartment is.

I've been staying at La Jolla Canyon Apartments for a month now, and my experience has been excellent. The place is clean, safe, and calm, making it a great environment to live in. The community is well-maintained, and everything feels well taken care of. One of the highlights of my stay has been Mary, the manager. She is incredibly nice, professional, and always helpful. From the moment I moved in, she made sure everything went smoothly and has been responsive to any questions or concerns. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the residents and goes out of her way to ensure a positive experience. Overall, I highly recommend La Jolla Canyon Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful place to live.

Do not come live here, there is a guy that is not right in the mind, he has basically a homeless camp in his apartment ( you can smell it just walking by), does weed on the daily, sits near children playground, rolls on the grounds of the community, appears disoriented and unsafe to live nearby. Cops showed up on multiple occasions due to his actions and management have been made aware of him but didn’t do anything yet. Will update if any action takes place.
