Kinross real estate is so unbelievably awful and should no longer exist. Save yourself the aggravation and find somewhere else to live. I lived in a Kinross rental from 2024-2025 and have PTSD from their company and their property. They have violated so many Boston housing and safety laws that I practically memorized my lease to be able to protect myself and my suite-mates. 311 was on speed dial the entire year. They are incredibly ageist towards younger people and will not take you seriously unless you get a parent involved to threaten legal action.

My son (junior at nearby college at the time) rented from their Comm Ave building and I co-signed on the lease. The rent was reasonable and Kinross RE was very professional and easy to work with. Colby was attentive and responded promptly to issues my son encountered during his stay. And Kinross is one of the few landlords that returned the entire month deposit PLUS interest earned, as we left the unit the way we found it -- clean and with no damages. I recommend renting from Kinross RE.

Kinross has been the best property management company I’ve ever worked with. Just wrapped a 3 year rental before moving out of state. They were fast, accommodating, professional, and just plain good at what they do. If only all property managers handled their business like Kinross does.

On the rare occasion that they actually contact you when they say they will, you can be assured that critical information will be incorrect, such as the names or dates on the lease, and of course any corrections will take an absurd amount of time to be made. In addition, you can expect a property manager who lies to appraisers directly in front of tenants who know what is being said is false. Any requested work for the property has a very high chance of being totally ignored until the owner of the property notes it and it can no longer be ignored, at which point you will not be given proper notice of such repairs, and the people brought in to perform these jobs will be unprofessional, lazy, and rude. Worst ever. DO NOT apply. Our application was approved and we paid the deposit, but they rejected us when they received another application? This company is dishonest & unprofessional. They have ZERO respect in people’s time & efforts!
