I went in to the K.H.R.A. office on sevier st to get 4 pieces of paperwork that I needed,an the woman working the front window was ASLEEP!!!! An it wasn't that she closed her eyes for a few seconds it was 2 or 3 mins dead ASLEEP!! holding people's paperwork! Its the same lady at the front window who is ALWAYS rude an hateful to me. The only reason she woke up is someone in the back office yelled for someone else,an she woke up! If she cant do any paperwork to help the public,an she has time to sleep on the job then I don't think they really need her,I've never seen her get up out of her chair for anything! They have cameras in that building everywhere sooo I bet she does the sleep on the job pretty regularly!!! I bet no one will do anything to her at all an keep collecting that paycheck. W

I'd give these people 0 stars if Google allowed for it. My sister requested that her voucher be ported to another state. This was the end of December, and she had already given the notice to vacate her current apartment in Kingsport now here we are at the beginning of February and this place still hasn't ported her voucher. She has tried to call but no one answered and emailed the supervisor but they've ignored any communications. Then all of a sudden last week she got a call from the lady who is to work on this and she said, I cannot get that done this week. Now mind you, this lady has had over a month to start this process. I'm really disappointed in this place. I have been on multiple waiting list. The time I get selected for a 2 bedroom apartment because I have a child they take me off of it saying that I only have one person on my application. How is that when they have my child's information?? I have been waiting and waiting on this and this morning I get the email saying that she removed me from the list I was selected on to the one bedroom waiting list which online says I'm 407. It is going to take forever for me to get selected again. So disappointed.

One star is way to many. Housing discrimination is a crime for a reason. People with disabilities along with limited income by HUD Guidelines are entitled to preference not only if a person is homeless….it also states substandard living conditions. However, the staff only sees the word homeless…it’s a sad disgrace. If you go to report the employee to their executive director…he apparently thinks you are to far down the food chain and refers you to the Attorney who thinks intimidation and bulky tactics will cause you to be silent. Surprise surprise people…look up their lawsuits and know your rights. Contact TN Human Rights and speak to a Civil Rights Attorney. This place needs and will be held accountable. So disappointed.... just moved here and was even recommended... who ever your operator is... she needs a break. She got my name and as I tried to get more information I was disrespected and off put by her words and attitude.... now as a customer service rep myself I am astonished... I get we can get some unruly characters... and its rainy day.. but my goodness.. i was nothing but respectful and explained i had no idea just that yall could send me in the right direction.. yup away from the facility... who supposed to be helping people SMH. No one ever deserves to be talk down too ever!
